Bubbling mineral springs and pools promise maximum relaxation in Rotorua, on New Zealand's North Island. Therapeutic hot mud pools, dramatic geysers and a buried village are within easy reach of the city. What happens in the bubbling mud geysers of "Rotovegas"—the area at the top of Fenton Street—stays in Rotovegas. Once you've made the most of the mud, soar nearly 2,000 feet on the Skyline Gondola for views of Lake Rotorua, then zip back down to explore the lake by paddle steamer, fishing charter or WWII amphibious vehicle.

The Landing Cafe is situated on the edge of Lake Tarawera. It is the perfect place for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. We offer various types of cuisines that would suit everybody. We are open 5 days a week from Wednesday-Sunday during Winter (May-September)
We stopped here on the way to Buried Village for a meal and the view of Mount Tarawera. The food was fantastic, delicious, and timely. They forgot the Caesar Salad I ordered, so they offered to make it for free. I insisted to pay for the salad because it wouldn't be fair not to pay for it and the food was excellent.Make some time to go there, even if it's for coffee, as it's a great place to go for a swim and a bushwalk too.

Papa TazioRotoruaSurprisingly good686625092We did not expect good Italian food in New Zealand, but found it. The city closed a portion of a street to pedestrian-only access, consisting mainly of restaurants, and named it Eat Streat (the word "street" purposely misspelled). We decided to try Italian for lunch, and Papa Tazio did not disappoint. The food was very good, even for my Italian-descended spouse. We were a threesome, and we all had something different; all of us were happy with our individual choices. The restaurant is modern in design and offered a lot of menu choices. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, and the prices were reasonable. The spaghetti Bolognese was VERY meaty and tasty. If we were to ever go back to Rotorua (unlikely), we would definitely go back to Papa Tazio.

Capizzi Pizzeria serves traditional style wood-fired pizzas. Our difference is that not only are our pizzas delicious and made from the highest quality ingredients - they are available by the slice. We are licensed, so come in and enjoy pizza, a wine or b
Looks a bit avg on the outside but is a bit more cozy on the inside. A very basic menu and an even more basic wine list and beer list. Very basic. Not fine dining at all but overall the pizzas were a good. but not fantastic. Bases were good , toppings were ok, but possibly we ordered wrong two as both our pizzas were loaded with lettuce? For a basic style dinner itâs a good spot

Imperfetto is a small authentic Italian pizzeria. Pizza is made in the traditional italian way, baked in a wood fire oven served with a big side of love.
We had 2 pizzas - both had tasty well cooked bases, toppings were excellent - the Italian sausage was delicious, good quality salami, tasty olives and a tomato sauce with real flavour...and it wasn't over cheesed so it was pizza as it should be. Nice people too.

We took TripAdvisorâs recommendation and went here for dinner on one night of our stay in Rotorua. It did not disappoint! The menu was varied with lots of options, the food came out quickly despite the little restaurant being almost full, and it was tasty. Service was brilliant.
