When the McNamara Terminal was built, it was designed as a destination shopping/dining complex -- for everyone, not just travelers. Then came 9-11, and for security reasons access became limited to only travelers. That is one of the reasons there are so many excellent dining choices at this airport. We ended up eating at the mini-food court closest to our gate and chose Hungry Howie's. Their gimmick is flavored crust pizza. We tried the butter-herb and the butter-cheese.It turned out to be the perfect comfort food for someone who's been living on cous-cous for a week.Howie's is a soft, puffy, spongy pizza -- with very little tomato sauce -- which allows the flavored crust to dominate. If you prefer a dense crust or a crisp crust you will not like this pizza. Our cashier was efficient and friendly -- and brought the orders to our table.Hungry Howie's is a local-boys-make-good story -- it's a Michigan-based franchise with over 600 locations.
crust was good and it had a lot of sauce!! and we got their chicken wings were good too we had honey barbeque they were good too!!
Its $5 pizza. Good decent food. Interior ordering area fresh and new, staff is good, pizzas are ready and waiting for you. Just a little tip, for a dollar or two more, call ahead and add an item or extra cheese to your pizza, it will be ready fast and made just for you.
I order here way more than I probably should, but they're super close, and the service is great. Jet's is always a staple and this store specifically stands out to me!

Ordered a pizza while staying at a local hotel, and this pizza arrived fast and HOT! It's always a gamble with delivery pizza...will it be hot when it arrives? Will it be a mess or congealed grease and cheese? NOT THIS PLACE!! :-) pizza was delicious. And the bonus? The hotel gave us a coupon, and when we called the order, the young woman gave us a better coupon deal. Nice service!!!

We went to JT's on a recent Saturday to listen to the band. We decided to have dinner, while we were there. We ended up splitting a small pizza. That was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. Not to mention, reasonably priced. I wish we had ordered a larger one, so we had more to take home. Next time........ JT's is a small place and it was pretty crowded when the band was playing. If you're a dancer, there's not much space for dancing. I'm not, so it didn't bother me. Our waitress was very friendly. My one complaint is the bathroom. JT, please do something with the bathroom.

Had a long layover at the Detroit Airport and chose here for dinner. I had the chicken parmesan and it was very good, made fresh, and a nice portion. Staff was friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable for it being an airport - this is located in the Delta Terminal (McNamara). They do have a to-go option if you don't have time to dine-in. Wide variety of items from salads, entrees, pizzas, and desserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a nice Italian meal.

A good crust, sweet sauce, and a lot of cheese are what separates a Toarmina's pizza from the competition.
I was staying litterally next door to this location at the Sheriton and ordered a pizza... over an hour later and no pizza so I called to check on it. the lady that answered the phone told me they only had one delivery guy and he would get there when he got there... I said christ you could walk it next door and she said im not walking anything anywhere that is why I have a delivery person. when I said you maybe should hire more than one she hung up the phone

We really enjoyed this restaurant. There menu is large so there is something for everyone. We ordered the Fried Mushrooms and Cheese Stix as an appetizer and for our entrees we had the Rib Eye Steak, Chicken Piccata and Veal Marsala Sausage and Peppers, which were all very good and portion size very generous. The bread was warm and fresh and you can also purchase a loaf to go. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and plan on returning.

If you are flying out of, or into Detroit Metro Airport and want to some dinnertlunch before or after your flight, I highly recommend this tucked away hidden gem...Located just north of I-94 on the east side of Merriman Rd. is this tasty, authentic Italian restaurant. We really enjoy the bruschetta plate as an appetizer. We eat it all, and typically up taking our entree home in a clam shell. There is a bar with a large selection to chose from. There is also carry out pizza through a separate entrance. Outdoor seating is available on those pleasant evenings. However, it the wind is right, you will be in the flight plan for takeoff from the airport. It that kind of thing doesn't bother you, the outdoor seating is very nice. During the cooler evenings heat is provided through patio heaters. When we are in the mood for a great pizza, or an authentic Italian plate. This is where we go. It's not too far from our home (20 minutes). We visit often. If this review has helped you make a decision to visit this hidden gem, please give it a thumbs up. Thank you. I really appreciate it. Happy Dining!Hello, thanks for your awesome review! We're so happy you had a great experience with us. We hope to see you again soon!
