I have used TA for years and never felt the need to review a restaurant. The discrepancy between the service we received and the relatively good reports on TA have moved me to make comment. If you want to be received by surly and rude waiters, overcharged, stuck upstairs in a room void of atmosphere, come out smelling like a Turkish smoke house (the waiters used the upstairs room for their breaks) then this is the place for you. Admittedly the pizzas were good, but nothing could make up for the way we were treated.

I should have been warned by the large number of English and American tourists waiting for the restaurant doors to open at 19.30.The surroundings were first class with one wall open to a small garden. The menu was exhaustive and did not follow the traditional anti paste, primi piatti, secundi piatti pattern, perhaps to appear more familiar to the tourists. The wine list was comprehensive.I scoured the multi paged menu and found a few pasta dishes. I ordered cannelloni. If not microwaved, it gave a good imitation. I did not like it at all.I shall not return.

Les Gourmets has been one of our favourites. Pizzas are very good. Good selection of fish dishes. Great desserts! The staff is very cordial, the service is fast and the prices are reasonable. Good location in the city center just off the main road.

We walked 1km northwest from our Hotel Le Pageot to Restaurant Moderno, but finding it closed, searched for another. 100 meters north, we discovered a suitable 12 Euro Menu del Giorno next to a customer filled patio. Inside at the bar, the 6 tables were also filled, but 2 men departed and we were happy to sit, watching 4 waitresses scurrying about delivering meals while the owner helped and tallied payments. She came over to interpret the Italian menu(in French) and we chose; Pasta e fagioli, Filetto de gallinella alla calvino, apple pie, and a half litre of house rosado. The food was served hot, well presented, tasted delicious, and even though the facility was swamped with locals, we were never neglected. I used the clean restroom before walking downstairs to see the cava that extended way in the back, and discovered the pizza chef. I then climbed to the upstairs to see the large dining room, discovering the kitchen(and all the different desserts available that day.)The locals know about this place, and we were lucky to experience this memorable meal that totaled a reasonable 29 Euros.

Don t expect much about the food. It is convenient if you have to cross Aosta by car as you can easily park (free parking). Having eaten there a couple of times I would consider as mediocre compared to other restaurants you could find in the region.

Found Sottosopra after our local was closed and were not disappointed. If you are into grills this is the place to go to. Meat, chicken... Anything. There is pizza as well.We had an Aberdeen steak cooked to perfection and all in all not expensive and will return.

Small food-lab offering Italian casual food from all over the regions. Something like to eat at Granny home, but cooked in modern and perfect way. The ambient is friendly with a bit of vintage style. At lunch is also available a "menu of the day" with sim
I went there for lunch and decided not the choose the menu of the day that seemed to be excellent value for money. I chose from the menu instead and everything was good: the amatriciana really well made and the meatballs wonderful. You can also get water free of charge. The service is also friendly

This place is popular about budget-conscious locals. The food is simple but well cooked and made of genuine ingredients. Do not expect haute cuisine here, but you will not be disappointed, especially when the check comes

Had an excellent vegan pizza, salad and expresso. The quality and freshness of ingredients used in the pizza and salad were of an exceptional standard. The atmosphere and ambience was relaxed without feeling rushed which is a great plus. The staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. We will now call into Bataclan again with pleasure for our next visit. Highly recommended

It's always a joyous moment when something you hadn't planned works wonderfully in your favour and just by chance something beyond expectations lands on your lap. Travelling back from Greece last month, we stopped at one of our favourite hotels pre-booked, (The Hotel Diana) assuming we would take lunch as always in the restaurant beneath the hotel. However our lovely host informed us that on Sundays the restaurant did not open. Our host recommended two restaurants one in the lower part of Pollein a small Italian village in the mountains about thirty minutes from Mont Blanc. We checked out the first restaurant and thought we might take a look at the other one recommended before making a final decision. In we went to be greeted by a dynamic smiling professional young woman called Electra who was adept at her art, that being making you feel relaxed and welcome, a truly charming young woman. The restaurant was very busy, we were shown to our table for two in a cosy part of the room. Service was prompt, the wine was excellent, the food was delicious the price was incredibly reasonableâ¦..I do not want to say cheap as it conjures up the wrong image, but I would have happily paid more for the meal and still felt that the experience was thoroughly enjoyable. It's so simple really for restaurants to get it right. Do not be pretentious, do not try to be something you are not, do not charge ridiculous prices, and be pleasant to your clients, and pleasant doesn't mean fawning and being subservient, or worse patronising, it means just be yourself and offer a fair deal for a fair package, works every time. I highly recommend this lovely eatery.
