This is a definite favorite restaurant for us in Pittsburgh - it's small, but the Italian flavors are big, with an exceptional wood fired Margherita pizza, and a great basic salad, dressed with balsamic, olive oil and shredded parmesan, both big enough for two to share, among the menu items. Award-winning gelato is also part of the restaurant's offerings, and it is delicious as well. The space seems to combine an old pizza parlor feel with a modern vibe. The prices are very good, and the staff is great. This is one of Shadyside's little jewels. I would LOVE to have this place in our town, but will have to keep returning to Pittsburgh to get the goods!

We had a good experience at Bravo. Parking was near the front door, we were seated immediately, and our server was attentive. The restaurant was not crowded so it was quiet except for the background music. Our soup was hot and flavorful. The lunch features looked appetizing and we tried and enjoyed them. We liked the smaller size and the taste. We used a coupon that we had and were able to save $10 on our lunch.

I returned to Mineoâs after being away from Pittsburgh for 22 years. I frequently dined there in the 1980s and 1990s. I returned in 2019 and was happy to see that the pizza is as wonderful as I remember. My favorite was -and is-the white pizza. I ordered it with chicken and black olives. I love when the cheese covers the toppings, as it does with Mineoâs pizza. But my most favorite part of the pizza is the crust. It has the most amazing crispy texture. The only other pizza Iâve had which compares is Ginoâs East in Chicago. Notice I said compares....For me, nothing beats Mineoâs. While youâre there, try the side salad, and add the crumbled blue cheese. Perfect! Finally, all the employees are wonderful. And why not? They serve the best pizza in Pittsburgh!

I just had one of the best veggie omelets here. The portion is quite ridiculous... so so big that can easily be shared. They don't use pork products so skip the beef bacon. Beats the overpriced breakfast at the Westin by a mile. I ate inside and it was clean. Their coffee is good too. Thank you for good review we hope your next visit will be 5 star!!!

The atmosphere was great. We enjoyed our meal on the patio listening to a street musician. It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend spent with our granddaughter who is attending Pitt Med School. We ordered the mussels and they were fresh and delicious along with a strawberry/arugula salad topped with salmon and an order of fried tomatoes. Definitely would return on our next visit.

I had the distinct pleasure to dine here with my wife and granddaughters. We ordered an eclectic sampling of the menu with our waitpersons guidance. Last night we were shocked to be at Piccolo Forno at 6:30 PM to find many empty tables. Given our past years of experience, of course, we were wondering why. We have been regulars at Piccolo Forno since its inception, enjoying innovative cuisine prepared with imagination and quality. Our recent visit was a grave disappointment. Instead of refreshing salads featuring such ingredients as fennel (gone!) or ferro (gone!) was something called Salad Verte, This consisted of welted greens, a few radishes and cherry tomatoes that obviously has been prepared much earlier in the day. By the time 7:00 PM rolled around it was presented as just plain soggy and unappetizing. Gone are the delicious mushroom filled crepes and vegetarian pastas. Instead, we found dishes such as heavy Pittsburgh style meat lasagna and non-descript tasting mussels. Piccolo Forno has been our "go to" restaurant where previously we have eperienced fresh, tasty and unusual dishes. Not so anymore. Its choices now gravitate towards the mean. In quality it has decended to mediocrity. Out of nostalgia we will give it one more try. If the fare does not improve, we will mourn what Piccolo Forno use to be and move on.

Loved the vibe of this place....great lighting and style for a pleasant evening. The service from our waiter was top notch....efficient, friendly but not intrusive. My husband couldnât stop talking about his pesto pasta dish and my pizza was delicious. Well worth a visit if visiting Pittsburgh.
