Visited on one evening close to New Yearâs eve. Although out of the season the place was fully packed by 8 oâclock and I totally understand why. Their pizzas are TOP: excellent Napoli pizzas with good quality ingredients, perfectly cooked. We also had an arrancino each as a small appetizer and I must warn you, that was all (an arrancino, a pizza and a beer) we managed to eat, leaving full as stuffed eggs ;). Not a fan of Viareggio coastline, I could make a detour in the future just to have one more of Flaminioâs excellent pizzas, still dreaming of it. Staff nice and efficient, thereâs wi-fi.

Wonderful gluten free pizza and normal pizza. A real treat for a GF eater in Italy. A lovely atmosphere and very friendly owners. Quite a long walk from Viareggio central, we got a taxi back.

Ristorante in piena campagna (non facilissimo da raggiungere), accogliente con camerieri gentili. Eravamo in vacanza a Viareggio e lo abbiamo trovato su Slow Food, attirati da una specialita' un po' originale, il risotto al piccione. Lo abbiamo trovato ottimo e ci siamo fatti una simpatica chiacchierata con Simone sulle razze "ortodosse" di riso per risotti. Abbiamo poi diviso un fritto di coniglio e pollo, tipica specialita' della Versilia. Valido. Torneremo la prossima volta che saremo da quelle parti, anche perche' abbiamo visto passare tra i tavoli pietanze che avevano un'aria assai attraente. Consigliato. F.Fransoni

Lungo la via Sarzanese in Piano di Mommio, andando verso Pietrasanta si incontra questo locale, nome famoso per la gelateria di Viareggio, sorella maggiore, ottimo gelato e pizze veramente buone a prezzi giusti, consigliato a famiglie e perforazione veloci di lavoro.

A pleasant welcome in a relaxing atmosphere of a summer garden terrace. The terrace was full so they put up an extra table under the blossoming trees. Their english is not the best but their friendliness and eagerness to please the guest combined with our 5 words of italian and the language of gestures made it all good. They took care that we got the waitress who handled us as good as possible language wise. And she was the best in every other sense as well.The muscles soup was full of taste and perfectly seasoned in its simplicity. And the black pasta with cod and shrimps was just amazing. The buffalo pizza with prossiutto crudo my friends ate was so good I wanted to come back next evening and have my own and not just a bite. So the next day I had a pizza and a pasta for first time in my life. Spaghetti with seafood was an excellent start to the pizza to follow. Millefolie with the green apple ice cream and a chees cake with a strawberry topping will not dissapoint. Back at Coluccini. The pizza from the brick oven is a highlight, so is the selection of salumi which I highly recommend as antipasto. The meat quality at Coluccini is always good: very good bistecca, tagliata and Cinta Senese pork cutlets from the grill are out favorites. Ask Mauro, the owner about his special wines, he has an outstanding cellar with great choices underneath. I recommend making reservations several days in advance because the restaurant is often crowded - especially on weekends.

Arrived late in Vareggio and was brought to this causal restaurant just outside town. Its location look causal by fields of crops and just along the roadside. But once insde, you will be impressed with the big wood fired oven.We had several starters incuding a very nice pan filled with prawns, squid, mussels in a hot and delcisous broth and had pieces of bread dipped inside. Very very fresh and deliciousNext we have 2 big servings for sometthing called Tortelli which is like a revioli filled with some minced meat and cooked in a beef sauce. Again this is tasted very good.The last dish was a black pasta cooked with garlic and processed lobster meat. This is well good and the garlic gives it a nice punch and the lobster meat tasted average, the overall taste make up for it.

Be it for lunch, brunch, snack or dinner you cannot go wrong when Pizza is well cooked. They make it very tasty and it is well worth a try. We highly recommend it. My wife and I enjoyed it very much.
