We arrived early for dinner and there was hardly anyone else eating. It took about 15 minutes for someone to take our order, but the drinks arrived quite quickly. It then took 36 minutes for our starters to arrive, in which time we watched other people come in, be given food, have their plates cleared away etc....The starters were nice (we tried the two different carpaccios and the bruschetta) but definitely not worth that wait. It only took 10 minutes for our mains to arrive, but the starter plates had not been taken away before then. My husband and I were given our pizzas, but mine wasn’t the right one and had to be sent back. My daughter waited another 5 minutes for her main meal to arrive. Really not hard to coordinate meals for a table of three. The food is nice, but after that poor level of service we won’t bother going back. The pizzas here are fine. The wood fired oven ensures the bases are light and crispy and there is a good selection to choose from. They are quite small but just about worth the money. Whilst nothing to rave about, they were standard fare.The service here is quite another matter. The male waiters were, in the main, unpleasant and unwelcoming. Raised eyebrows and shared sideways looks were the order of the day. It was almost a masterclass in how not to treat your customers. Very busy restaurant but not one we’ll return to.

Myself and my partner have dined here twice this week and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area, every part of our meals were delicious and the price is very good for the quality of food that you get. Lovely setting also with a relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend the fungetti Gorgonzola for a starter and my fillet steak for mains was cooked perfectly

We were recommende to this restaurant by someone who visited regularly so we booked a table. On the first visit the food was good well presented and well served. The pizzas were well cooked and tasty.On our second visit the restaurant was far busier and the service was poor and rushed and the pizzas did not look as appetising as before, were undercooked and lacked finesse. On this visit no one checked if all was ok. It seemed as if they wanted you in, fed and out to get more customers in. We had a late dinner here last night and it was excellent. I had the spaghetti, the local soup, salad and excellent bread. My better half had seafood risotto which was delicious. Our server Mary was excellent, charming and very helpful in giving us some advice on the areas’ tourist attractions namely different beaches.We will be going back in a day or two.Great value for your money.

This was my favourite restaurant in Armacao however things have changed dramatically. The menu is completely different and the standard of food is way below the previous high standards. I had the mushroom risotto which was average at best. This was a great restaurant but sadly I won’t be going back.

We have been visiting Armacao da Pera for the last 11 years and have always enjoyed the wide choice of restaurants in and around the resort. However thanks to the recommendation of friends we discovered this restaurant that provides exceptionally good food at extremely reasonable prices. What really makes this restaurant however is the warmth and friendliness of the staff. We went there with a group of friends and were so impressed, we returned as a couple later in the week. We were treated like friends and once again the food was superb. This is only their second season and we wish all concerned every success for the future.
