On my recent trip to Eboli with my family we visited this wonderful restaurant set in the hills of Old Town Eboli. The owner/chef made many delicious local dishes and explained what they consisted of, He was so gracious and friendly. I hope to return to Eboli in the future and enjoy this lovely restaurant !!

When you get in looks like an old âAl Pacinoâ movie location. Wide spaces with Service dressed up very elegant. Nothing to say about food and professional service but really the location.... Many old couple going there because seems to be a very old restaurant since probably 2 generations family management. With a good reputation. Price a bit high, I honestly would rather to pick a nice view restaurant with more or less the same food taste. Itâs not a complain but honestly to me, I would go back there only as someoneâs guest

This is the home of la strappata a pizza that's cooked but with raw cheese and meat on top.Worth a try please note this place is extremely popular with locals so expect to wait. All in all well worth the wait. Great red house wine and staff are friendly.

Decidiamo di fermarci lì a pranzo e scegliamo il menù del giorno. Antipasto di mare: polpetta di mare, che invece era un croquet di patate tondo con dentro uno o 2 bianchetti, 2 alici di numero, ed un cucchiaino di bianchetti. Passiamo al primo piatto, cortecce rosa ai gamberetti: pasta al sugo di pomodorini scottissima e fredda con dentro un solo gamberetto e addirittura con tutta la buccia! Una presa in giro bella e buona... Solo se proprio non avete altre alternative!

I had been there before for the pizza, this time, on our way to the Certosa di Padula, we stopped at Ristorante Ginetti again. Actually we wanted to go there for pizza, but when I saw what they were eating at the table next to us, we opted for an early Dinner. The place is close to the Autostrada exit, just before entering the city of Eboli. A little not easy to find up the hill, but, once there, the food makes you forget it. The place has also an outdoor and a large pool they were readying for the June opening, so we ate inside.We had delicious Mozzarella di Bufala and ricottine for antipasto, shared a parmigiana di melanzane, a plate of penne with mushrooms, a side dish of zucchini flowers dumplings, fried and slightly stuffed. Everything delicious over a bottle of red. The dessert was an extra delicacy: little babà au rum so good that made us visit the Pastry Shop where they came from. We inquired and it was from the brother of the owner who runs a Pastry Shop in the city center so we decided to stop there and order some cakes to pick up coming back from our excursion to Padula. But more on that in another review.

If you have the means and youâre visiting Paestum then this is definitely a place to seek out. Had great pizza here (and Iâm not normally a fan) and the staff/owner were very welcoming. Visited off season and it was quiet but it is on a busy road. Would definitely visit again.
