We were there pre Christmas 2018 and it was one of teh few reataurants open in Franschoek but frankly you would be better off driving further in to town and finding another place.Service was slow and unresponsive and when the food eventually did arrive it would have been better it did not come at allThe menu and pictures are great and mouthwatering but the food does not live up to the pictures sadlyHello Geoffjoan,That is very disappointing to hear, our apologies for your negative experience with us. One could argue that Romans is Romans is Romans. Not true. Romans Pizza in Paarl is a friendly professional fast food outlet with quality food. I order form telephonically fairly often and my order has always been correct and complete within the time that was communicated to me. They always double check the order before you pay.

Nice thin based pizza, but very dry toppings. Actually bland and not very appetizing especially considering the price . Better value would be Romans pizza. Tried it, but would not go back for seconds. Attached pictures shoes two different pizzas but they look the same.

We went for Dinner last night at Pearl Tock Terrace restaurant at the Laborie estate , and was blown away by the food, service, friendly staff and overall experience. We were greeted warmly by the manager, Anthony, and led to a table downstairs/outside.The view is so stunning across the vineyards and can easily make you forget that you are actually in the town of Paarl, the setting is just so beautiful and picturesque.If you have kids, then this restaurant is one of the best you can go to. The outdoor seating area is the best because your kids can play/explore right in front of you, and they never feel âboredâ being cooped up inside.The food is glorious, the best pizza I have tasted in my opinion & of course the best pizza you can find in Paarl!Besides the delicious tasty pizza , their Thai Beef Salad is one of the best !!Service was also great, our waiter Xolani was always just a call away.I recommend going with people who like to share because that way you can taste from multiple plates rather than pick food off someoneâs plate when theyâre not looking

Large menu with specials on the wall. Heavy concentration on pizzas and steaks. In view of the main course options, I thought the starters needed increasing. Service slow but top class waiter.

We were just looking for breakfast and our driver took us to this place. We were a little apprehensive to start with but the whole setting of the tables, views and the friendly staff made the visit worthwhile. The food in itself was good but sitting there in the open with light breeze made us enjoy the meal much more than a traditional restaurant. their fries are not crisp, which was the only complaint but the whole experience was very memorable.

Thank you for a perfect Mother's Day, a superb menu; a clever fusion of traditional South African & Italian dishes served in a harvest-table style of sharing around the table. The setting is rustic, charming and the views are idyllic, all this resulting in a 4 hour lunch, eating, relaxing and chatting with other patrons and joined by talented Chef Morne. Our waitress Priscilla was equally charming and worked her magic around the room with her attentive service. The Retief farm, paired with The Blacksmith's Kitchen & Stubborn Man wines is to be shared and we look forward to seeing what Father's Day has to offer.
