Where do I even start with this one? Honestly this experience would have Shakespeare turning in his grave and only because he couldn’t write a better comedy of errors. It started we we arrived for our 19:30 booking at 19:23, a bit optimistic you might say, and you would be correct because I am nothing if not an opportunist. Turns out we needn’t have bothered arriving early because they had no interest in serving us until 19:55, and that was only because the table next to us took pity on our wait times. I ordered a Grey Goose and lemonade because for £1 extra I am living that high life. I was told 20 minutes later they had no Grey Goose and I had to settle for the Russian Standard. I’m not a snob so I’ll take it but i was gutted, like I said - opportunist. We also ordered our starter of garlic bread and main at the same time. The create your own hotdog I wanted didn’t appear as an option on the server’s screen so she told me I couldn’t have it. Gutted, I told her I really fancied onions and she recommend the New Yorker hotdog. My mama didn’t raise no fool, I saw no onions in that offering and told her as much but she assured me “it came with onions when I had it the other day”. My mama didn’t raise no skeptical fool either so I believed her. You can tell from my tone there were no onions but that’s a story for 5 minutes from now (btw thank you for reading this far dear reader). So after ordering, we waited 20 minutes to be told they had no Grey Goose but surely the Russian Standard and lemonade would make up for that. And if the Russian Standard and lemonade was what I received I would be inclined to agree with you. In actuality (wow a real word) I got a Russian Standard and soda water which I can assure you leaves a worse taste in your mouth than realising the 2016 election was manipulated by Putin and his gang of Merry Men (dang I’m saltier then those fries tonight). To their credit they apologised profusely arranged a new drink which I received within an hour.At this point my friend and I were laughing hysterically so again another bonus. We asked why the service was so bad and was told us they were preparing for a party of 20. Nothing makes you feel more special than hearing you’re not, particularly when you’ve waited nearly an hour to hear those magical words.Nevertheless we pressed on. We received our main (no starter in sight) and as you can tell by my aforementioned passive aggression I did not see a single onion on my hotdog. At this point I was too hungry to care, so stared wolfing it down. Somehow despite this, the hotdog had other ideas and before I could even get halfway the bread fell apart quicker than a Kardashian Marriage (except Kimye, stay strong guys). The garlic bread arrived literally as I was on my last bite and this was the one saving grace of an otherwise abyssal meal. The server asked us if we were enjoying our meal and I didn’t even have it in me to lie. I asked her where the onions were and I might as well as asked for KFC’s secret blend of 11 herbs and spices for all the answers I got. If you think this story is over you’d be sorely mistaken. We asked for the bill. We tried to pay the bill several times without success. At this point I was considering a dine and dash because OPPORTUNIST but also I remembered I’m less Spritely than a Russian Standard and lemonade so after 5 long minutes and them admitting they hadn’t even turned the card reader on we went downstairs to pay at the counter. Needless to say there was no tip. All in all it was the funniest night I have had, I would liken to an escape room because the overwhelming sense of achievement of just getting through was worth the effort. The food and service played a massive part in this and I will be forever thankful for an excuse to go to Subway instead. Also they ran out of straws. Avoid.

A hidden gem in Northampton, right across the road from Ibis Hotel. Beautiful food from a small and independent family-like business, complete with Italian & Czech beers on tap. With nice fresh food.

It was really cold outside, in fairness it felt like we were sat outside. We moved table, but it didn't really help. It was 7.30pm on a Saturday and there were just 2 other tables occupied. The food was nice home cooking, nothing fancy. We all ate our main. We had a main each, some bread and one drink each and it was £64. If your visiting, make it a summer visit.

Orders through just eat, realised what was listed as a double had been charged an extra £3 to upgrade, thought it would be a triple. Range to confirm and was told it would be a double. Told them the description on just eat said it came as a double without the extra £3 and they told me I was wrong. When I read the description to them I was then told that just eat had it wrong.... it must also be wrong in their own website as it says it’s a double there!!!
