We visited for dinner... A lot of points to make. Food was by far below average... Pizza bland, pasta bolognese overcooked and no particular taste to it, calamari fritti were probably the biggest let down for a fish place... Soft, chewy and not tasty. The worst of all.... The wine.... Red wine menu, clearly stating McGuigan Black Label Shiraz Hunter Valley, however the bottle shown in the photo was actually brought...'South Eastern Australia'. Very distasteful to claim to provide a bottle from a viticulture background such as Hunter Valley and then bring a South Eastern Australian downgrade.. Dear Customer,we are very sorry of reading this review. I have been working at Piùtrentanove for 10 years, as owner and as cook at the same time, and since I prepared by myself the dishes you mentioned, I can answer to all your points. I can state, with no doubt, that the pasta was not overcooked (but "al dente" in perfect italian style) and the "ragù" (bolognese sauce) is one of our "forte", I prepare it with my grandma's recipe, a tuscan one that is a guarantee of taste. People usually come back for it and for sure they come back for my pizza: everyday I prepare the fresh dough and I use high-quality products, I am sorry if you didn't like it and found it bland, I invite you to come and try it again and maybe you'll change your opinion. About the calamari, I can simply reply that I buy them from a well-known fish shop that sell the best fish in the island and in these last weeks many customers gave their compliments on my "frittura di calamari". Lastly, I didn't understand exactly what happened with the wine, but we have no pictures of any bottle, so i don't understand what you are talking about...We have a large selection of wines and detailed description of them. Anyway, I suggest, for next time, to inform the waiters if you find something wrong with your food, it will be our pleasure to verify if the pasta is overcooked ot the calamari chewy, and we'll see to having them prepared again for you.Best RegardsFilippoOwner and cook at Piùtrentanove

This was one of the closest restaurants to our B&B and recommended by our host. We are so glad we went. We had a lovely meal outside sharing the rabbit spaghetti followed by pizza and rabbit main. We loved the home made wine too! Thank you so much for such a lovely evening and meal.

Welcome was good. Shared a starter of Cold cuts platter which was Proscuitto, Salami, 3 different cheeses, cherry tomatoes, Sundried tomatoes and crackers. Main for me was Chicken Al a Chef which was lovely in sauce, vegatables and roast potatoes, portion was huge and there was a lot of waste but they did ask if i wanted to take it home with me. John had Sea Bream which was one of the daily fish specials with a Caper sauce. He said it was the best he ever had.I had a half bottle of wine and he had a full red. Meal cost about 75 Euro. Good meal will be back on our next visit.

Owner is always helpful and pleasant, good filling food at reasonable prices. It is a locals bar but everyone is cheerful and pleasant. On our first visit the whole village was jammed packed but they still managed to squeeze us in, a bit of a wait but we did get fed. Other nights it was very quiet and the food arrived in minutes.Only place open during a huge thunderstorm but still serving.

We booked this restaurant which was recommended to us by a friend. We were disappointed. I had read some poor reviews and I probably would not have visited this one but my friend identified it as his favourite place to eat. We clearly have different tastes!Table and view were lovely - though despite having made a reservation for a table at the top a lady (English but a local) had sat on our table and our reservation slip had been scrunched up! Off to a bad start! But we suspect that it was the ladyâs fault rather than the restaurantâs.The serving lads were not very professional and a bit haphazard. We had dishes off the specials board which were ok - my partnerâs steak was chewy but my black stuffed pasta was pretty good. However we didnât feel at all welcome so decided to leave and asked for the bill.As I was paying by card I had to go to the till - fine - but the waiters were just stood around chatting while I waited - when I asked why they were not taking my payment they told me only one person could do that - so I suggested they ask him to come ! That man came and was not atall friendly or pleasant. We left leaving no tip feeling disappointed as this was our last night on Gozo.

We ate here many times and found Veranda to be a very nice location comfortable and lovely views out to sea. The quality of the food was good and everything was very tadty. Service was very good, although when one particular head waitress is in charge, the minute you have your glass or plate empty, she is straight down to you wanting to know what else you would like, some people may find this a bit pressuring you in to either making another order or trying to get you out. Personally we leave when we are finished, but some people may see this as a negative. All the other waitresses werevery pleasant and gave good service. Recommended.

OVER RATED , undoubtedly because it's cafe prices ..the serving staff are pretty hopeless, and asking them for attention ..well, 'sorry to have inconvenienced you .'The staff rush up and down barely looking at customers .. this places trades on its lovely location, certainly the staff are un trained and for me, probably one of the worst sets of staff on the island.Food average..try the Club House next door, the best burgers in town and terrific staff .

D-BAR is a family run Restaurant, Pizzeria and Bar, brimming with charm and tradition. Set over two floors, the upper level provides a relaxing and traditional experience; here you will find yourself gazing upon a beautiful collection of vintage portraits
Luckily we found D'Bar on day two and booked up for most of the holiday (they are busy!) - the food is very high quality as is the wine selection and price wise we were very pleased - four adults typically coming in at around â¬28 per head - friendly staff, five star restaurant easily!
