Peppervine is a delightful restaurant at the heart of Mission Beach. With its location close to the beach, one enjoys their meal whilst listening to the soft crashes of waves. And this was certainly the experience whilst enjoying fettucine fungi.This dish features the sophisticated fusion of exotic mushrooms with the more familiar pasta. The chef accentuates the delicate & subtle flavour of mushroom with truffle oil. The use of exotic mushrooms give an exciting texture, quite different to the usual and more familiar mushrooms. The crunchy and curly black fungi add texture and shape alongside the softer, finer enoki mushrooms; subtle flavour of truffle oil and the al dente fettucine. Gentle touches of spice from chilli and sweetness from red capsicum adds variety to the flavour and colour of the dish. Fine, broad slices of parmesan also adds shape and flavour, but its addition is tactful - it does not overwhelm the star of the show, the mushrooms. Topped with crunchy sprouts (which adds crunchiness, colour and accentuates the clean flavours), this dish is a delightful yet precise fusion of East and West.A return to the menu will be met with great anticipation!

If you are looking for good quality, locally sourced family-run Italian food, then Caffe Rustica is a little gem, hidden away. We arrived in Mission Beach quite late and stumbled upon Caffe Rustica and they made us feel very welcome. The food portion sizes were great especially as we were feeding 2 older teenagers who were hungry !! The menu is varied but trypically Italian which focusses on quality and restricted options, but caters for all types inc seafood, meat vegetarians etc... We will go back and recommend you try the food...

Got a take away pizza at this place last Friday night and will definitely be back. The pizza was delicious with good quality ingredients and a perfect base. Service was great and very friendly. Although, I was chastised (in a very jovial manner of course) for presenting a challenge by requesting 1/2 and 1/2 toppings. I was so impressed by the young girl working there who offered to go out to the garden and get some fresh basil for me to put on our pizza...how's that for good service!

Tried this new restaurant in the spot where Ocea Bar was. Had a vegetarian pizza with nice thin base, very tasty. My friend had the calamari which she enjoyed. It was a Friday night and there was a guitarist/singer which was pleasant but I prefer quieter places! Prices reasonable and service and attention was good.

Well what can i say, my waistline officially hates me.The head cook really knows her stuff! Burgers, pizzas so so good and now thanks to Beachcombers Coconut Cafe I am now addicted to calamari! (The cook is very fussy on cooking to the milli-second).Oh, and if you are fussy on your gravy.. You're in luck.. amazing.Healthier options also available but can only personally recommend what I've had.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED .
