In truth, we opted for Locanda La Torre simply because it was the closest restaurant to our Massa Marittima accommodation, Domus Bernardiniana. We arrrived early, hungry and quite tired on a rainy evening, before the restaurant section of this combination terrace, bar and restaurant was open. Even though she was managing the counter and covered outdoor area on her own, the lady at the front cash seated us in the dining section and served us glasses of wine so that we could relax while we waited for the kitchen to open. That little gesture was very much appreciated! In a short time, we were treated to a delicious meal - salad and good pizza for my husband while I opted for a carbonara-style penne with peas from the daily menu. A homemade strawberry and cream (tiramisu-style) dessert was amazing. While we started the evening on our own, the restaurant quickly filled with a combination of locals and tourists and the atmosphere was happy and relaxed. The following day, my husband, who had tasted my delicious pasta declared that he wanted to return to Locanda La Torre that evening so that he could order it for himself. When we arrived (at regular opening time), he discovered that it was not on the menu. The chef, recognizing us as the early-birds from the previous evening, came to our table to greet us. When my husband mentioned my pasta dish, the chef immediately volunteered to make it for him. I opted for salad as starter and a tasty, tender meat dish of roasted lamb AND roasted pork. Again, everything was delicious. Friendly, considerate staff, delicious food, and a warm ambiance - we could not have asked for more.

Nice place, good hospitality in one of the most beautiful Italian square just in front of a masterpiece church and middle age surrounds. Excellent cooking with creativity if you leave them freedom to create food combination: they bring you amazing mixed trays with vegetables and local specialties from Tuscany. A place where I will certainly go back.

This bar, cafe and restaurant had tables both under cover and inside facing directly onto the main Piazza Garibaldi - a wonderful position.Unfortunately the service was slow and we were clearly being charged tourist prices, even for coffee and brioches. Service was better and cheaper at some of the other cafes not far away up the Via Corso Liberta which still provided good people watching opportunities.

Tatti is a small village that still live in the middle ages and there you may find this very good restaurant ( even though the name means "small bar) with a surprising menu. They grow up their own old wheat to make a special pasta called "sequercelle", very good, and also they have Tuscan tipycal food restylized with fantasy.A very good pizza, a wide winecellar along with a good choice of appetizers is completing their offer, the prices are far below the average for the quality they are offering. Best booking a table during weekends from spring to fall.Dear Sandro, thank you very much for this lovely review. We are happy that you mentioned our Km 0 philosophy, this is a characteristic that is very important to transmit to our guests. We hope to see you again in our "terrazza"!!!Warm regards from all the staff

Very nice atmosphere, nice staff, quick service, kid friendly. The food was fantastic, the pizzas best we have had in years, steak was exceptional as well. Had gluten free options. Not speaking Italian was not a problem and menus had english. Loved it, and may go back again before leaving this beautiful town.

We had a great menú there with different kinds of fish to the courses. My favourite is the Risotto Nero di Sepia. Service was very helpful even with the kid. Only a baby change unit was missing.

In prossimità del mare ma all'interno della cittadina, questa pizzeria resta un po' oppressa tra le case ma vanta una bella struttura interna con un giardino interessante.Le pizze variegate e di buona qualità rendono il posto valido e da riprovare.Giudizio positivo.

Popped in here for lunch on a rainy Sunday - I had a delicious pizza with porcini mushrooms and my friend had some delicious fresh pasta with lots of truffles. Really good home cooked Italian food and very reasonably priced, worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for lunch Tank ypu

I have been brought here by friends.I was delighted about the place. Ok, it is rustic and it looks more like a 'Grand Tour' osteria than a modern gourmet restaurant. It is located right on a corner of an old road leading to the magnificent Massa Marittima. But the food was just right.Seafood was good, the pizza was ok. They have a broad menu spacing from seafood to meat and pizza. Service was efficient and the dessert at the end was just great. Everything ended up with a little bill. They have a half covered veranda.
