Visited with very hungry camping bellies Saturday morning. Only one woman working! Meant for slower service but we weren't in a hurry. She accommodated our two different sauce request and it was devine. Wish the lunch buffet was on Saturday, but I get it. I always try to go here when camping nearby.

We have been dining at Happy Joe's over many years of coming to Maquoketa, where we have Family. They have somewhat recently changed the decor a bit, it is pleasant & usually seems clean. We enjoy the Garden Pasta that they offer & they also have a tasty burger. I know many order pizza there, but we don't usually, so I can't say how good it is. The service has been good most times that we have been there...very polite servers & attentive. They have some other good menu choices that are tasty such as Chicken Mandarin salad, one would not expect. Definitely family friendly! I think Maquoketa is lucky to have this restaurant...we have enjoyed it many times!! They also have a bar & a Liquor license if you wish to indulge!
