The service was fine. Our iceberg lettuce side salads were pretty much what I've grown to expect in neighborhood Italian restaurants in the Garden State. We ordered a couple of pasta dishes, and I don't know what happened, but neither of them had any flavor. The portions were huge and could have been shared. But why? We laughed it off though. It's pretty much what we've come to expect here.

Everything was so tasty and very, very fresh. The salads and subs were also really good. Would visit again next time I'm in town, it was Excellent food with very reasonable prices!!!

On our way to Bay Head, we had to change trains at Long Branch. Our connecting train got cancelled and we had about 2hours to our next one. From the station we saw this restaurant and as it was about lunch time we decided to give it a shot. The staff was very friendly and readily agreed to go off the menu for our vegetarian pizza. The pizza was delicious and we had a great lunch by chance!

The amount of garlic on our pizza was literally sickening. We actually went back to our hotel and made ourselves throw up since we were all so sick to our stomachs after 1 slice of pizza. The staff was nice, and place was small. Would never go back.

I go there for the subs mostly. Fresh bread good cold cuts. Only thing is it is not in the nicest area. Be warned. Otherwise order for pick up and enjoy.

The food is always top notch, no matter which of their staff waits on you it is quick and courteous and the food is made and served with old fashion Italian love of good food.(except walley, he can be a pain in the but) and the best cup of Cap in town.

âSomewhat rusticâ decor is only reason for 4 stars. Food is 6 star. Once you get past the dump like parking lot and sparse ambiance all else is superb. Pick your own steak and it will be prepared exactly as you order it. Tasty sides and great service. If you are a steak lover, TBB will not disappoint.

The service and food quality, and temperature of restaurant. We were surprised. This is the third time we have partronized this establishment and thought the previous times is was good. To be specific: the restaurant was very cold. I asked the two very young wait staff to correct it. They both said it was controlled by the outside. What! It made for a very uncomfortable meal. BTW the two thermostats were in eyes view of our seats. My wife's chichen parm was like rubber, the sauce was tasteless. The pizza was very good. Did they change owners or chefs? Since 1944? May not last if they don't change.

We ate in the bar area...there is also a separate dining room in a banquet next to the large bar area...tried a couple of different items and service was good, wait for food was not long and it was okay...nothing to write home about, just about what you'd expect at a sports bar.Don't think you'd be dissappointed if you're looking for a casual meal, but don't expect you'll be raving to your friends about how they have to go there.I'd go back again, but would also rather try someplace new if I was in the area.

I am a life long patron of this establishment who has been eating here at Nunzio's for 60 years and I visit it whenever I can. Recently I sat down with an old friend who really knows his food and we ordered a large plain pie. When it came, brought to us gleefully by Snookie (the original), we were mesmerized. Louie, her brother, crafted us a masterpiece of tomato pie goodness. The crispiness of the crust, the flavor of the sauce and the fact that your pie (your TOMATO pie) is not covered in cheese is what separates Nunzio's from any other pizzeria in the world. You are eating something incredibly delicious, unique and really genuine. I highly recommend Nunzio's for another reason: when you eat there you are treated like family. The food is served piping hot and does not leave the kitchen unless its right. I love the Chiafullo family, Snookie and Lou, who are two of the best people who serve some of the best food you will find. And remember to check out their other menu items prepared by Chef Fabio who can really whip up some incredible dishes you would not expect in a small, neighborhood place. Enjoy!
