Celebrated daughters birthday with her brother and all spouses. The appetizers were good especially the calamari. For entrees we had spaghetti and meatballs which was tasteless and shrimp and pasta with few shrimp. Best was the pizza which was tasty. Decor is eclectic and concentrated on Roman Catholic Church art and sculpture complete with a table surrounding a bust of the pope. Led to our table through the clean appearing kitchen.Much better Italian restaurants in the area for the price without the oversized portions. Fire is a great local spot. It is very popular. Tasty small plates to share and delicious entrees to enjoy. Service is friendly and focused. The only issue is the lack of reservations. The wait can be very long. In my view this is completely unnecessary. I would certainly visit much more often if I could make reservations and avoid the long wait.Hello GlennR, thank you for the review. We appreciate your words and you taking the time to write. In order to honor reservations, Tables must be held open so that when you walk in you have a table immediately available. There are many complications with reservations that are unknown to the general public and typically loss of business due to holding tables open. Our call ahead priority seat list basically acts like a reservation and the goal is to seat you immediately, however sometimes we cannot predict when a table will get up before you and many people sit longer than expected so you may end up waiting a little bit. On a typical busy night our wait can be up to an hour and a half to two hours for walk in business, and the call ahead list will get sat within 15 to 30 minutes. Which in reality is a typical wait time for reservations in most busy restaurants. So call ahead days or weeks in advance and get on the priority seating list. It truly works. Thank you again. There are only a few almost literal, Hole-in-the-wall places left on this planet that deserve our attention. Dane's pizza is definitely one of them.A vintage PAC-MAN arcade sits to the right of the order window. Time wasters rule! If you stop in without calling ahead, you will have entertainment. I would recommend calling ahead, to pick up your order (or delivery for the less-adventurous) as there are very few places to sit in the "dining room" which consists of one booth, two chairs and the lovely PAC-MAN arcade. This to me is not a negative thing, you can peer back from the window and watch your food being made. Not as up close and personal as subway but they are hiding nothing from you. For me this is a plus.Now for the food. Easy-peasy no one will be more upfront about your options with food than here at dans. Feel free to ask about anything ask for something special, altered, changes or substitutions, even advice. No-problem. The staff is very willing to help and make sure you get what you want. (Yes I'm one of those guys :-P)The highlight for me is the double decker pizza. So good I am a heavy water and I can usually manage two slices only of this pizza. Very notable is doneness, the pizza is always done perfectly for me. I usually ask for well-done bake when i frequent other restaurants. Usually other places get the doneness wrong, not dans it is usually perfect, baked but not over done, it is on the cusp of well done but is not there. This is not only the double decker pizza, the regular pizza as well. Absolutely perfect.Thin crust that is wonderfully crunchy bit still has something you can sink your teeth into. Not greasy crust, dry to the touch but still moist in all the right places. As long as you are not expecting to have a pizza party, or a group sir down meal. Dans pizza is top notch, check it out!

The sign on the door....help wanted, should have been a clue. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and theyâre literally couldnât have been more than 10 people in the whole restaurant. The place is still visually striking but the service sucked. For a place that was essentially empty, we waited forever for our orders. And take matters worse, one of the sandwich we ordered, showcased artichoke hearts and after waiting 20 minutes, we were informed that they were out of artichoke hearts. How is that possible? You can buy them in a can at any store and it was only 1 oâclock in the afternoon. The sandwhich lacking the artichoke continued to be a disappointment because the grilled chicken breakfasts was dry and chewy.i ordered a Cobb salad and I must admit it was delicious. My wife and I wound up splitting the Cobb salad and filling up on lemonade refills. The sign is true.....they need help.

I thought I would try to pizza restaurant since it was very near my hotel. The staff were all friendly and the place was very clean, but the pizza was just average to me. I had a basic "everything" pizza. Perhaps I just caught them early in the evening.

We had EVVIVA pizza delivered. It was excellent -- a blast from the past. I remember loving Salerno's pizza back in the 1970's/1980's. This is from the same family with the original recipe. Fresh ingredients, great sauce and very tasty crust. It's well worth a try if you haven't had it!
