While I am not very knowledgeable about Italian food my colleagues who are were delighted with the food. A vegan friend was really impressed with the menu as was a vegetarian. The service so efficient & friendly was also appreciated. My husband had excellent bangers and mash (and mediocre wine, but the second glass of a different vintage was better). I had pasta with peas and scallops in a cream sauce. The peapods were so delightful I actually ate them (I never do at home, as they're always stringy and unpleasant)! I was a little put off by the scallops, though; maybe it's a cultural thing to serve them with their weird, orange "foot" still attached? They were slightly gritty. The service was spotty at first, but improved by the end.

An early evening meal visit on a damp Sunday in October, a cosy little restaurant , rustic furniture, nice atmosphere, offering a limited menu. We had freshly baked pizza & mussels, both of which were really good, just enough room for one of their home made cakes. Overall we had a great experience.
