Kingston is a city in and the county seat of Ulster County, New York, United States. It is 91 miles (146 km) north of New York City and 59 miles (95 km) south of Albany. It became New York's first capital in 1777, and was burned by the British on October 13, 1777, after the Battles of Saratoga. In the 19th century, the city became an important transport hub after the discovery of natural cement in the region, and had both railroad and canal connections. Passenger rail service has since ceased, and many of the older buildings are part of three historic districts, such as the Stockade District uptown, the Midtown Neighborhood Broadway Corridor, and the Rondout-West Strand Historic District downtown.

Food was sub par maybe even 1 star but it was inexpensive, so maybe 2 stars. Beer selection both draft and bottles is impressive. Beer, atmosphere, and service are above average. The bar pizza couldn't possible have less cheese and still be called pizza. The wings were overcooked. Which was weird because the didn't come out hot(temperature). They were dried out, 2 of them were broke the bones were brittle, somewhat charred. The hot sauce had a good flavor. It appeared as if instead of tossing the wings with hot sauce the sauce was drizzled once they were plated.

I have lived here all my life and know the family owned business as well as worked for them. Simply put the best and most consistent pizzeria in the Hudson valley. The only pizza place that competes is roseâs pizza And pasta in NYC. I have tried hundreds of places and plaza pizza is the benchmark !!â My favorite is sausage pie. They use sliced sausage and it is perfect. Their sauce is sweet and has a excellent blend of spices as not to be overbearing. The crust is not too thick and not too thin. You can order either way. And the cheese is my favorite part and they are not shy with the amount!! I highly recommend this restaurant and not just for the pizza the meatball parm is off the hook. The fresh garlic in the meatballs sets their balls apart from others! They have a wide range of toppings and pasta etc. if you visit this area from out of town it is a must. The deliver too! You will not regret going!

We stopped in while exploring the port area. The place was bustling with locals, so we were confident that we'd have a good meal. Pizza and salad. I don't want to go into details , but caesar salad was over dressed, not very flavorful, and the pizza was just OK.

Our family had an early dinner after our son's graduation. We wanted somewhere above average, and some of the other graduates suggested DiBella's on Lucas Ave in Kingston. I had pizza and eggplant parmigiana at their original pizza parlor on Washington Avenue before they moved, so I was familiar with their quality, and was attracted to the idea of finally trying their new venue. It is charming in atmosphere, and the food menu is more towards the 'restaurante' style of Mediterranean and Northern Italy. The meals were prepared well and we did have a pan pizza at the table. This was not as the pizza parlor style, but more towards the thin crusted (dare I say gourmet?) personal pie. As a preference, I would stay with their restaurant menu, the pizza they are now serving (compared to their older pizza parlor style). I suspect the equipment they have is not the same as what they had before. In any case, the food is quality, above average, well prepared, but not exceptional. The prices are moderately high in regard to portion sizes, but not overpriced. I would not "run" back but I would entertain family or friends there as a possible option.

Well it's a Pizza Joint but so much more. A long term family owned restaurant that provides all kinds of food and in amounts that will fill you up and leave some to take home. They have specials too that are good deals but you will find something on the menu that you like at a good price and you will enjoy it.

This is, by far, the best pizza to be found in Kingston. My only complaint is that they don't deliver, but as the owner says, he's got plenty of business every night without delivery, so why complicate things? The pizzeria is family-owned, by a family with a long history of pizza making in the Kingston/Saugerties area, and that family love of pizza shows in the product.

We ate here while staying at the Residence Inn next door. The food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient and the prices for the portions were very reasonable. We had the chicken parm and the eggplant parm along with an awesome antipasto salad.

I ordered veal parmagian with spaghetti. It came with a salad and bread. The salad andbread were great. When the main entree came, I had to send it back the veal was burned on both sides. It was so over cooked it was tasteless. The waitress ordered mechicken with eggplant instead. The second dish was okay but it was under cooked. Ihave eatened there before and the food was always good. I do not know what wentwrong.

Great 5.00 lunch specials. Two slices with an assortment of toppings and a drink. Can't beat that. All types of slices. Fast, east, cheap, and good.

Such a disappointing dinner! I ordered eggplant parm with ziti â the eggplant tasted old and the ziti was mushy and not freshly cooked â I didnât eat any of it and brought it home for my dogs but decided that I couldnât even feed it to them for fear it would make them sick. My son ordered the chicken marsala over linguini and was very disappointed â the linguini was all stuck together. We also ordered a white pizza â the pizza was okay, but very skimpy on the toppings. Sorry for the poor review, but La Florentina needs to pay closer attention to the quality of what they serve and start serving fresh food!
