Things to do in Hayward
Had lunch here on Father's Day. We ordered the combo meal, two pizzas, an order of bread sticks and a chocolate desert. One of the pizzas was pepperoni and the other sausage. The pepperoni was very greasy and the sausage on the other did not taste fresh. The bread sticks were fine and so was the desert. We won't be breaking down the door to get back here again.
Stopped in via boat and loved the charm and relaxed atmosphere. This is classic northern Wisconsin at its finest. You can get a cold beverage and $1 pull tabs, if you ask for them + pickled eggs for $1. There seems to be a good population of regulars-which really means it's great and amazing deer heads and other animals everywhere. It's awesome

We visited with a friend who highly recommended the place. Located east of Hayward, it has a fairly sizable restaurant area along with a large bar. Our visit was for lunch. All four in our party ordered different items--portions were large! I opted for a bacon cheeseburger. It was done to perfection with thick bacon slices. There is also lots to look at in the bar area as far as taxidermy and decor. The bartender/server was not overly friendly, but she was efficient. The food outweighed the ho-hum service. Well worth a stop if you are looking for a decent meal.

This establishment was recently purchased. New owners are very friendly and down to earth and familiar with the area. Pizzas are staying the same as is the Friday Fish Fry and Wings. New menu items include chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, fish nuggets, and AYCE spaghetti and garlic bread on Wednesday evenings. Bloody Marys will remain with an addition of a new spicier bloody Mary as well. Worth a visit back if you haven't been in for a while.

We really enjoyed our experience at the winery. The food: garlic parm Wings, salad, pizzaâ was top shelf. The service was excellent. I just wish that they provided ârealâ plates to enjoy the apps and pizza instead of paper. I will be back for sure and so will my friends.

Trails End Resort was established in the 1930s. Since 1969 it has been owned and operated by the Hormons. Michele has been running the resort and restaurant since 1986. Today, Trails End has become one of hayward's Premier full-service resorts. We offer d
The atmosphere was nice Northwoods - in other words not your redneck plaid shirt, baseball cap, bluejeans, high top boots kinda place. Not to say there wouldn't be times that is true. (esp during hunting season), but I understand it is a year round facility & it has a good sized snowmobile crowd. There aren't too many restaurants that are open year-round up here. It is also a resort. It had a patio linked to a beach & the resort will accommodate your boat. Many visitors stay for several months & I can see why. It is located on the Couderay (a good sized lake) & has an entertainment stage. Of course for lunch nothing was going on there. The restaurant easily seated us (over 40 wmn) -- altho the service was a bit slow. The wait staff, being quite pleasant made the wait manageable. The 3 choices for our crowd was good (almost everyone opted for a mandarin salad w/grilled ckn. We preordered. It looked really good all the ladies around me said as much/I opted for a fried ckn wrap - which was also good. It came w/BBQ potato chips. Very filling)I'll be back. There are so-0 many places this group has opened up for me. Though we have occupied property up here for over 36/going on 37 yrs., we are not party people. We now have options!

This is a bar and restaurant that is part of a resort near Hayward, Wisconsin.
We visited this resort for food and drinks on the recommendation of friends. While the resort also has lakeside cottages, we did not stay on site. Inside the bar/restaurant, it feels a bit like stepping back in time when rustic, cabin-y taverns dotted each and every lake shore in northern Wisconsin. The restaurant and deck/patio area offer a stunning view of the Chippewa Flowage. We had prompt, friendly service at the bar. The lodge is open 7 days a week. Both my husband and I ordered burgers. We were a bit taken aback by the prices, but we decided to try them anyway. When we got our food, we were disappointed. The burgers and fries were delicious, hot, and tasty. In the end, we didn't mind paying a bit of a premium price since the food was fantastic.

Once available only in Ashland, WI - Frankie's Pizza of Hayward builds on fifty plus years of great pizza and friendly service.
Driven by numerous times and wondered if it was ever any good. Saw on another site it and the original location was one of the best places in WI for pizza. We tried it and WOW we all loved it! Perfect crust to toppings. Wings were delicious also. Managers were very welcoming and genuine. Great bar and craft beer choices. If you are ever around here, this is a must stop. Very affordable and family friendly.

We stopped for lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full of patrons. We waited almost an hour for two small & simple pizzas. The waitstaff never stopped by our table or asked if things were satisfactory. The pizzas were not very good tasting.
