Joe's Pizza and Pasta

I spoke with the owner during my visit, and it was a obvious he takes pride in the store and his employees. The building was built in the early 1900s and was a men’s store for years. A huge advertisement that they uncovered during renovations dominates one wall, and there are a series of historical photos of the area on the walls. He owns two stores, and there are 14 locations in this regional chain. I have severe wheat allergies, and they have a lot of options (it’s one of their specialties). I tried their new cauliflower crust, and it was excellent, similar in texture to a hand tossed crust. I had the Joe’s with added jalapeños, and they loaded it up with toppings. The pizza was excellent, and they offer pasta and subs, as well. Great flavors, and a variety of specialty pizzas. They can also handle fairly large groups, if you call ahead. They handle all kinds of functions for Greenville University regularly. It’s too bad I visited on a long trip. If this place was near my home, I would be in often.

We stopped by this winery for a dinner visit with another couple. After a tasting, we chose the Big Red Zin bottle of wine and it was very tasty. We had bruchetta, salad, the Italian pizza and tiramisu cheesecake. All were wonderful. We will definitely be back. The ambience is great. The setting is beautiful. There is outdoor seating by a lake, but for this visit, it was too cool to sit outside.

Recently we visited Greenville for Christmas and we were up for Pizza knowing we would be cooking on the holiday. As always Mario's did a great job on the Pizzas. Service was good and the pizza tasty. If they could improve on anything it would be to add a few other things to their house salad....mine was all lettuce....could have used a tomato or a Cuke.

We ordered the Pacific Veggie pizza. Dominos, you've changed...for the better! The pizza was great. Toppings were fresh and plentiful. We haven't had a dominos pizza in years, we looked at the menu online and were pleasantly surprised by the creative specialty pizzas and other menu items that left us saying, "mmm that sounds good". After a long day of driving, We had the pizza delivered to our hotel. We called in the order and it was delivered within 30 minutes. Our delivery guy was awesome, we knew it was him by his knock on the door, nice touch. He was friendly and polite, we like that...we are new fans of the new Domino changes.
