Went to this establishment for a quick pizza and a glass of wine. When we walked in, the stage was set for some iItalian dining. Italian music in the background. The pizza was a thin base proper Italian pizza with fresh toppings. Absolutely loved this little gem in the heart of Strand. Will definitely go there again.Thanks for the great feedback!

Met with friends for a drink and a bite to eat, we sat at the bar. Firstly it took forever to get drinks ordered as the bar lady was more occupied with her friend at the other end. I requested a menu and was given a disgusting sticky board, i couldn't even hold it or page through it. I suggested they wash it as its difficult to want to eat at an establishment that disregards hygiene. As I am Vegan I asked for a Vegetarian pizza without the cheese but with extra mushrooms and asparagus. My friend noticed that they were going to put cheese on the pizza so she stopped them, the manager looked her up and down then told her that maybe she should stop eating cheese... I was shocked! When the pizza arrived, I was hit with disappointment . One would think that taking off the feta and mozzarella, and adding two other veggie items, (basically replacing the cheese) that the pizza would have sufficient toppings. Oh was I wrong, I was met with a sparse scattering of toppings. To add insult to injury, on the menu it states that you can receive garlic and chilli as a free extra. When we asked for some, we were told "It has garlic on it, and we are out of chilli..." ok well, next option was to douse the sad little pizza with balsamic and olive oil which actually turned out to be quite pleasant. In all fairness it is a watering hole and, in my opinion, repeat customers are probably there to drink so they don't notice the dirt. That said, the place needs a serious deep clean and staff should be taught basic manners as well as how to treat clientele with different needs.

One can't really describe a visit to a Franchise restaurant as a great event on your life, but the Domino's Pizza itself is worth coming back to for regular visits or convenient delivery. It was the first time I had Domino's Pizza and it was so nice. Even though I had a medium pizza it was too much to finish. Really tasty savoury fluffy pizza base and toppings. This might just become my next favourite pizza shop, I have to look out for one in my home city.

Plus the fact that the food is consistently good, so it's never a difficult choice when we decide on the spur of the moment to go out instead of eating in. How this restaurant got such high ratings from other reviewers, is beyond me. We must have visited on the cook's night off. I took a visitor from the USA and was embarrassed.The place has absolutely no atmosphere, the chicken liver starter was a stodgy mess of uncooked flour and the mains were so ordinary that I've forgotten what we had.At least the food was reasonably priced and there was only plonk to choose from on the wine list so even that was cheap.How terribly upsetting to read your review. We take pride in all our guests and the food which we offer and always follow up with our patrons if all is to their liking. It is very unfortunate that you and your brother, that was visiting from the USA, did not at any stage advise that there was a problem with the chicken livers as we would have replaced this for you without any hesitation.I recall clearly the issue regarding the wines and did advise that we keep a limited stock available. Your choice of the Riebeek Chenin Blanc was followed up with a tasting first of the wine and if the wine was not suitable, I did mention that I would replace the wine with an alternative, however, you did say that the wine was fine. With regard to the other dishes, your choice was our Chicken in Red Wine and the Curry Lamb which neither seemed to have any objection to.With regard to the comment about the atmosphere - we are not a fancy restaurant as can be seen in our prices and have received many positive comments from our regulars with regard to the décor. Possibly Zest would have been a better alternative and more in line with the dining experience you were looking for.

I absolutely love the Pizza from Mia Bella.The environment is very chilled with a rustic feel to it.There are a variety of pizza's to choose from and I like that there are different choices for different price ranges which accommodates for all.The pizza itself is very tasty and they are not shy with the toppings which is really great! The service from the waitress is always excellent as she is so friendly and really goes the extra mile.Mia Bella really makes the long drive from cape town to gordons bay so worth it!
