I talked to the owner at the Tijuana Beer Festival on 7-19-13 and the brewery has moved due losing the lease on the building so the information in my previous review is now outdated.Specifically it is now quite a long walk to the fish taco stand mentioned in the previous review. The owner says that they are now in a converted 100 year or so old mansion with a beer garden about 7-8 blocks up on the street which Hussong's and Papas & Beer are located on.. At the TJ beer festival all the the beers I tried were great. Amont the most memorable to me were the the Red Agave IPA, the Dos Pablos, IPA, and a dark beer with maple flavor (I almost sure it was it was a smoked maple porter but due to variety of beers at the festival and my not taking written notes I can't say for sure). Next time I am in Ensenada I plan to the new location an see the beer garden and possibly post an update! I wonder if they still have a children's play area?

I have eaten pizza in all of the popular pizza joints like Old Mission Brewery, Cavali's, Ochentos, and so on. Those are all great if you want the more romantic experience with the wood fire cooked pizzas and nice setting. However.... If you are looking for something closer to a NY style pizza, then this is the place. A place where you can just grab a slice for under 2 bucks. The slice is a quarter of a pizza by the way. So again, very NY like. The only slice that you can double over and eat happily on the run. Their pizza flavors are very nice, and the crust is thin but soft. Very good all around. Not a place to go on a date, and not a place to sit and hang out. Maybe the one in Sauzal, but not the one downtown. Plus they stay open super late for people coming out of the bars at night. Not my thing, but if it's yours then it could be a place for a late night snack.

I had the opportunity to go to this new place in town, to be honest my expectations where higher but I was dissapointed by the end of the night by some of the aspects that I will evaluate below.Ambient: The place is comfortable, the architecture of the place transports you out of Ensenada and in the night creates the perfect mood for a dinner for two. On weekends they have live music, and the group is truly great.Food: They have a limited menu compared to the one of the neighbouring wine cellar, the food is closer to "tapas" style rather than a formal dinner.Service: The staff is constantly looking forward to give their best, although they are not very knowledgeable of the wines they offer. Wine: They only have the house wines, and they run short when comparing the reds with other local wines in the same price range. I tried "Entre Barricas" and "Brisas del Sur" which I found quite full of aromas but quite plain in the palate. Run away from the rosè, it is a very salty wine (it taste like brine), having as a result a mask that ruins all the flavours you initially start to find when taking a sip from the glass. The "Dulzura" it is a quite nice oporto-style wine from what I tasted it is the best item in their wine list.Overall I would probably go back again in couple of years just to see how they are evolving their wine skills, and because the ambient is really good to have a good chat and a good time listening to the music. They close at 11pm so be there early, take cash with you as they don't take credit cards.

Enjoyed a very nice lunch here with colleagues. We shared salads with tuna and avocado and I enjoyed the Spaghetti Alfredo for a main, while my colleagues had steaks and prawns that they enjoyed. The restaurant has a nice range of local craft beers available. Well worth a visit.

I was not that excited by their pizza the first time. I did enjoy the BBQ Chicken Salad however. The 2nd time we went with friends, and I did enjoy the pizza much more. The pizza is very good and very reasonable.

We've eaten at Ristorante La Forchetta several times over the past couple of years and took my Mom there for dinner while overnighting in Ensenada the other night. We shared a lovely salad and pizza (from their wood-fired oven) with a bottle of Italian Chianti. To start, they served thin slices of focaccia with olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well as an excellent trio of house-made sauces: roasted chile, pesto, and tomato with chile and peanut. The service was attentive and the quality of food was very good. The restaurant is conveniently located for us, reasonably priced, and consistent with its service and food quality. We enjoyed our meal very much after a long day of driving and will return to this restaurant again.

Fun, beach-casual restaurant with great fresh food.
We stopped last night for a pizza. Their pizza is among the best in all the Americas, the difference is the crispy small crest as well as the home made sausage. In addition, they had a lady singer that created a wonderful ambiance. A true pleasure. The only reason they do not have a 5 stars is they did not have sparkling water.

I had already reviewed this place, but it seems my review was taken down. Maybe this is because I mentioned other restaurants that had far better pizza. So I will not give the owner a reason this time to take it down again. This place is the worst place I have ever been. I went during lunch time with my family. There was only one other table in the restaurant which had about 8 people. We ordered a pizza and a salad. After 45 minutes we had been served nothing. The owner was sitting there on his cell phone at the bar the whole time. I finally asked what was going on, and they said that they had a big order with the table of 8. I cannot imagine the wait if there are multiple tables of people. I asked why they couldn't at least bring the salad since that does not need to be cooked? They brought that finally after another 15 minutes. So after one hour I only got a salad. The pizza finally came after a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time of order. All because one other table was there. The pizza was not even good. It tasted like a frozen pizza you make at home in the oven. There are far better options for pizza in Ensenada. I think this place just had a good location where many tourists pass by from the cruise ships. They probably don't understand that Ensenada is actually a great place for food with the cooking school here and everything. I think they are underestimating us. Anyway, this is the only place that I have ever given 1 star. So that should say a lot. The owner by the way never even tried to tell us why things were taking so long, or left his phone for the time we were there.
