The food is absolutely out of this world. We had burgers, wings, pizza and a mac and cheese appetizer. Drinks are ice cold. The server, Nathaniel, should be manager! He made our experience so much better. He helped us navigate the menu and suggested some very good food choices. We will eat here again before we go back home. We do not have this food there and the service / server is one of a kind.
I've been coming here since High School. its one of those hidden gems that a lot of people in Edinburg and valley don't know about. Armandos is located next door to Whataburger near Wal Mart on University Drive. Located in a small Plaza the sign reads ' Pizza and Subs'..........and on the window you'll see the decal of Armandos which is hard to identify if you're driving by. I've been coming since 1998 and the food has always been consistent. The pizza sauce is made from scratch, so its unique and not some can opened sauce that the franchise pizza joints use ( Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns etc)The diner itself is small but cute and has been tastefully done so it has a nice little ambience and charm to it.Now onto their food..........Their New York style pizza is awesome, the sauce, cheese and toppings are always fresh and good. The taste has always been consistent.Their Chicago Deep dish is huge and very filling, so if you order it you can rest assured that you can easily feed more than 4. I've had their pepperoni subs and roast beef sandwiches all of which are good. Their spaghetti dish and lasagna are a personal favorite but both dishes are very reliant on the sauce compared to what you would get at Olive Garden. this approach to the dishes is one that I prefer over other Italian restaurants who pour a small amount of sauce on their pasta dishes. their Stromboli and calzone are also worth trying. Though they may appear small in size they will fill you up.Price wise, this place is nearly as expensive as Pizza Hut or Papa Johns. a Large Pepperoni is around $13 to $15 bucks which is worth it cause the taste of the food is memorable which is why I've always returned. Armandos has a loyal following with university staff and the lawyers and workers who work the court house and frequent during lunch hour.

We wanted to order pizza and decided to try Pizza Hut. We ordered our pizza and we had special wants and went to pick it up. When we got there the pizzas had just come out of the oven. They were hot and fresh and done exactly like we wanted. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to us. Kudos. The pizzas were awesome.
Although it depends on the time you arrive (later in the day they have more deliveries), MOST of the time you can be seated quickly, some days...not so much, and you're left waiting. On average, you get seated in a short amount of time. Real nice layout of the restaurant, and pretty friendly staff. Again, sometimes they struggle with English speaking customers (or at least my waitress did), sad since this is an American/english speaking country - so minus points for this. Prices are your standard Pizza Hut pricing - which was what brought me there in the first place. Good food, lot's of choices, and VERY good prices.

Had a good experience at Domino's. Usually not a long wait to be attended. Just walk right up and you're next. The clerks are courteous, polite, and helpful. The pizza is fantastic, really hot and made to order. Prices are great. I would highly recommend this place.
