Dongguan is a prefecture-level city in central Guangdong Province of South China. An important industrial city in the Pearl River Delta, Dongguan borders the provincial capital of Guangzhou to the north, Huizhou to the northeast, Shenzhen to the south, and the Pearl River to the west. It is part of the Pearl River Delta megacity with more than 44.78 million inhabitants at the 2010 census spread over nine municipalities (including Macao) across an area of 17,573 square kilometres (6,785 sq mi). Dongguan's city administration is considered especially progressive in seeking foreign direct investment. Dongguan ranks behind only Shenzhen, Shanghai and Suzhou in exports among Chinese cities, with $65.54 billion in shipments. It is also home to one of the world's largest, though largely empty, shopping malls, the New South China Mall. Although the city is geographically and thus culturally Cantonese in the Weitou form and as well as culturally Hakka in the prefectures of Fenggang and Qingxi, the majority of the modern-day population speaks Mandarin due to the large influx of economic migrants from other parts of China.

Ordered two small pizza, two soup, two Coke for 182. Pizza was good but the price is ridiculous. I would come during lunch time instead next time.

They were having a soft opening when we stopped in but the place was very crowded with Chinese customers already. We were the only foreigners. The menu is hard to categorize, with a mix of East and West. I had a cream of mushroom soup and a citrus salad and my wife and my wife tried the Singaporean laksa. Everything was very good and our waitress spoke good English (though I'm pretty sure she was the only one of the staff that night who did). The service was fine even though it took a little while for the food to come -- I chalked that up to the busy-ness and it let us know the food was prepared fresh. We had a chocolate lava cake dessert that was yummy.

This is my second time going and had wonderful experience again. Today I went with our customer who wanted a change from eating Chinese food for last 3 days. He loved the calamari as appetizer and stake as dinner. I am vegetarian! There was many choices for me! For appetizers cheese bread and Gecko Fries were excellent choice. Vegetarian pizza was great for dinner! Wide variety of alcohol choice was very good! I strongly recommend this place for the people looking for a little change from Chinese food! Gecko Pizza and Pub was just 0.3 miles from the Parklane Hotel!

Gecko Pizza is located in the Changan City Center and has a high frequency of expats and foreigners working in Changan. The Food and Beverage Menu is extensive while fair praised. The Service can be described as attentive and good with a good english knowledge. A good place to meet and hang out.

Boancasa is a relatively new Italian Restaurant in Dongguan/Houjie. It is full of Italians, and I consider it a very good and typical italian restaurant.I have tried and it was amazing and pasta with seafood simply fantastic.Price is very reasonable. Strongly recommended!!

Iâve been here before but had another excellent meal.Had scallops starter as no octopus left and they were cooked perfectly with nice accompaniments.Went for a pizza and was not disappointed, good size and fresh base made for a great meal.Very good, friendly service too!

Went here twice last week while in DG for work. My sister's family farm/vineyard, corzano e paterno, make some of the best wine/olive oils/cheeses in Tuscany and has been featured on Bourdain and Oliver etc. Had 2 great dinners with nice, reasonably priced wines I have been coming to DG for 25 years and this is a place I never miss eating at.Almost as good as Coco, the restaurant in Ischida that Salvatore knows so wellplease dont miss eating here as the chef form Sicily is great
