Woody's Pizza, right between Portsmouth and Ross University; delicious food with great service
We tried to go to Woody's at least 4 times. They advertise as being the "best pizza on the island". Everytime we went it was closed. Finally we gave up and by chance on a drive by it was open. I popped in to see what they offered, but the only topping they had was pepperoni. Needless to say we decided to go elsewhere. Sad.

Perky's Dining Room is like entering a new world of tastes, sights, aromas, seasonings and sensations. It's a place where you can take some time to unwind in the middle or at the end of the day, a place to relax and have a conversation over a meal or drin
Perky's Pizza is one of Roseau's new eateries and is located on one of it's main streets. Yet the way it was built the main road hardly get in the way of a sit down meal. Like all Pizza shops, there are a wide range of Pizza options one can tuck into.Like other Pizza outlets in Roseau, the menu offers more than Pizza and my choice for lunch was their chicken wings that seem to have an overkill of tomato and other sweetened sauce, but apart from this it was quite edible. I also had to sample their roti recommended by a contact.I hardly have the appetite for Roseau roti since they are overfilled with potatoes and other vegetables with hardly the taste of chicken if that was the order. The other reservation is that roti is not a local dish and has not been perfected as yet as in Guyana or Trinidad with the Indian influence.I was though pleasantly surprised and was tempted to order another, but refrained. By the way their Pizza is not bad quality either and I'm not a lover of Pizza.I'd recommend to any visitor who want fast food, it's not the worse place to eat. Plus it's quite clean inside.

Located in the heart of Roseau, is this very local, quaint option for a local-styled lunch. After entering from the street, you walk up to the 2nd story where there are a few tables both indoors and out. The outside is a terrace with views of the street and fans blowing to keep it cool and comfortable. Lunch consists of a soup and salad if you wish to start with this. Entrees are rice, vegetables and two protein dishes, on our visit chicken and ribs. The ribs were deliciously seasoned. Overall the food was good. Not sure if they serve alcohol, as we didn't have any and there is no apparent bar or menu. Several homemade desserts were on display and presumably an extra charge if ordered. The lunch buffet was USD $20. There were several locals eating in addition to us. If you need help or service, everyone was very friendly and happy to have us there.

My husband and I made our way to Sunshine on a Saturday evening. We are living in Dominica for the year and this is the best meal we've had in the country to date. I wrote more here:http://thestudyandthestudio.blogspot.com/2014/06/sunshine-cottages-and-restaurant.htmlThe locally sourced food showcased Dominica's incredible land and bounty. Marco and Sabina were wonderfully friendly and kind. The pizza sauce, the crust, and the toppings knocked our socks off. I want to go back again and again. Eat here, love it, and tip them generously. They need to stay!!It was very nice to meet you and your husband and I'm so pleased you enjoyed your evening at Sunshine Cottage restaurant. Many thanks for your kind review and see you again in fall
