The population was 4,160 at the 2010 census, up from 3,674 at the 2000 census. It is home to one of the world's largest apple sculptures, which is displayed on top of an obelisk-shaped monument. Cornelia was the retirement home of baseball legend Ty Cobb who was born nearby, and was a base of operation for production of the 1956 Disney film The Great Locomotive Chase that was filmed along the Tallulah Falls Railway that ran from Cornelia northward along the rim of Tallulah Gorge to Franklin, North Carolina.

Visited for dinner during a very busy evening due to a community music and fireworks event in the park. Despite being very busy, the young men running this place could not have been more accommodating. Good food and something for everyone on the menu. Full bar and good wines by the glass. We'll be back!!

Beautiful atmosphere with a warm and friendly staff. We ordered the garlic Parmesan fries which were awesome. Freshly cut potatoes which were fried and tossed in a very tasty buttery garlic and cheese combo. The deep dish Chicago pizza was very good along with the regular thin crust pizza which was cut into your typical Chicago squares.

Been many years since we've had Pizza Hut, so were excited when we saw this one. We ordered take-out. First, the restaurant was very cold. It also appeared to be less than clean. We placed our to go order and then sat and waited. The person taking our order said it would be about 15 minutes. While we were waiting, there appeared to be some grumbling among the employees. Also, there was an ex-employee who was pretty much bad-mouthing the management (even though she and her family were there to eat).Our order took well over a half hour. I asked the guy at the register a couple of times about our order. He said he couldn't tell. He had to wait for it to come up on his register. Finally, after our wait, he checked the warming oven where they had been putting pizzas for take out. There was ours. It had apparently been there for some time.Don't think we'll be visiting this particular Pizza Hut again. Just not up to par with experiences we've had at others/

We hadn't tried the local Little Caesars until they advertised the pretzel crusted, cheese sauce, pepperoni pizza. This is a great pizza! It's our newest craving for a quick lunch or supper. The prices are great and the store personnel are helpful and courteous. I highly recommend them for when you need great pizzza at a fantastic price.

Our first experience at Papa John's in Cornelia was a pleasant one. We ordered a combination vegetarian pizza with pepperoni added onto one side. The pie was freshlly prepared, veggies cut to size, and served up hot. We particularly liked the regular crust. It's easy to see why this chain is popular.

We've always enjoyed the Marco's in Surfside Beach, SC and decided to try the new Cornelia connection. Online, telephone, and in person orders all work just fine. The pizza is fresh and hot; my favorite traditional crust pizza is here. Our favorite specicalty pizzas are "The Works" and the Veggie pizza with feta cheese.

We went here for lunch and decided to try the pizza which was very good. Would have given them a five on the pizza except it was lacking in cheese. The service was very good. We will go back to try other items on the menu.
