It lies 5 miles south of Newtownards, at the northern end of Strangford Lough. It is situated in the townland of Town Parks, the civil parish of Comber and the historic barony of Castlereagh Lower. Comber is part of the Borough of Ards. It is also known for Comber Whiskey which was last distilled in 1953. A notable native was Thomas Andrews, the designer of the RMS Titanic and was among the many who went down with her. It had a population of 9,078 people in the 2011 Census.

This is our local pizza parlour and although other have come and gone in comber we have have always prefered Express Pizza! Yummy pizza, great selection of flavours (including banana!) and reasonably priced considering you can get an 18" for less thant £14!

I was so disappointed by the food here.. Bland and tasteless is my opinion...Chicken stack ,Empire stack and 2 kids meals...plus drinks over £50...NOW if you go Mon to Thurs they are offering kids meals at £1 each but that wont make the adult meals taste any better. The service was grand...no complaints there but I just dont rate the food at all..its just the same old ,same old as far as I can see.Dear findlindatavares,Thank you very much for your review. Went in for a pizza over the weekend. Lovely as usual! BUT!!as I was leaving with my order the delivery driver was leaving at the same time got into his car with the food and in the back was a big German Shepherd dog! Don't think that's on helth and hygiene. Boke
