Where to eat Pizza food in Cobh: The Best Restaurants and Bars

October 13, 2019 Layne Dawes

Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Cobh. Cobh (/ˈkoʊv/ KOHV,  Irish: An Cóbh), known from 1849 until 1920 as Queenstown, is a tourist seaport town on the south coast of County Cork, Ireland. Cobh is on the south side of Great Island in Cork Harbour and is home to Ireland's only dedicated cruise terminal. Tourism in the area draws on the maritime and emigration legacy of the town - including its association with the RMS Titanic, which was built in Belfast.

Have gotten takeaways from here a few times now, & we are kind of addicted. We usually ring in our order & then collect it. Food is always ready in the amount of time that you are told, which is usually 10 minutes. Food is absolutely delicious, good portion sizes & very good value. Looking forward to getting food from here again.

Visited with a group of friends last night; it's a small restaurant and was full. Was asked to wait while a table was cleared and then seated and provided with menus. As a group, we tried 2 different pizzas, the parmesan fries, halloumi special side, and arancini. Pizzas weren't exactly to my taste - quite doughy, sauce slightly watery and tasteless, and toppings sparse. The fries were delicious, as was the cajun dip we also ordered. Halloumi wasn't anything special, and I've had better arancini. Service was good, but I wouldn't be rushing to pay a return visit as the food wasn't really to my taste.

Thanks so much to all the staff for a lovely evening, we rang quiet last minute to get a reservation and were accomadated with no problems, food was amazing, goats cheese pizza was so tasty, prob the best pizza we've had...and mixed grill kebab was cooked to perfection...my kids had eaten already so were just looking for dessert and the chocolate & banana Calzone did not disappoint, the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond with our kids even bringing them into the kitchen to see the wood burning oven which was a big hit with them, overall I can't recommend this amazing authentic, casual, family friendly Italian enough...Looking forward to our next visit...

You may have gathered by now that I normally only leave a review if it's either brilliant or a disaster. On this occasion its the latter unfortunately. Since my last review I have been to other restaurants and cafes and I see the best and worst of practices on a daily basis. This is how I earn my bread and butter, I've not left a review because I've not been moved one way or the other. However I feel it's important to give feedback when required, this is one of those occasions. The guys working in Apache Pizza were nice, attentive, patient (we couldn't make up our minds) and provided an adequate customer service but that's not my beef with them.We ordered pizzas, paid at the till and handed over our cash. The operator took the cash, processed the transaction and gave me my change. So far so good you would say and you would be correct, it's from here things go astray. The same chap took the dough, kneaded it and rolled it out. Our pizzas were completed and everything was well EXCEPT the chap never washed his hands after handling the cash, no gloves or hats/ hair nets in site etc. I don't believe Apache Pizza train their staff to perform their tasks with adequate training, maybe they are not being supervised as diligently as you would expect and shortcuts are being taken but in the end this is a food business and correct HACCP regulations need to be followed. Please tidy this up. As I said the guys were great but they seemed missing the training. It's a pity because when in Dublin we would not have gotten pizza anywhere else.

We ordered from here and are absolutely appalled!! We are now both violently sick! It's atrocious that a so called " great resturant" can destroy our bodies like this. I will definitely be boycotting here from now on and will be advising everyone else to aswell. Absolutely terrible. Should not be serving food that makes people so sick.

Myself and the family went to grand Italian after our trip to Spike island. The menu was fairly for for a quick visit with pizza, pasta and salad dishes. The waitress was very attentive. We ordered 2 x pizzas (pepperoni and Mexican spicy) , drinks, chips and morezella balls. The chef asked the kids to help making the pizza and was really sound. Food was delivered and was delicious. It's cost about €42 total which we thought was good value. Good food, good staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere for family's. Definitely would call again...
