Little Tuscan tavern located in the heart of Monte Amiata, in the Southern Tuscany. The menu is strictly bounded to the Tuscan cooking and all dishes are prepared by following traditional recipes. The ingredients are selected with great passion, searching
Great restaurant set in a quaint village we came across on the way back to pienza from saturnia. The manager and chef were very friendly, good honest people, the house wine was delicious, the tiramisu and pannacotta to die for and just 3 euros! The mushroom and ham pizza was so good we had to order another one! Definitely no tourist trap!Thank you so much for your review. We chose for our costumers a short menu in order to provide an high food's quality.
Locale non grandissimo, ma con possibilità di stare anche fuori. Buon cibo, buon servizio e tempo di attesa molto basso, trovarsi nei paraggi val la pena fermarsi.

Our restaurant was born in 1989, my father native of Salerno make an excellent pizza, the cuisine is typical Italian and the protagonist of our menu is fresh fish. The wide variety of food can satisfy any type of customer including children. The wine list
My husband and I keep coming back to this ristorante every time we visit Tuscany. Family ran with excellent food, especially the fish and desserts. They are so friendly here as well. The outside patio is great for dining. They even shared their recipe for the cheesecake.GINAMOORE

If you are in the area, excellent place to visit for a good meal at reasonable prices. Very friendly owners will take you in and make sure you are well fed. You will probably be amongst local families eating out. Also, this is the only decent place to eat in a wide radius as we found out on a Monday evening when they were closed....

La Vecchia Oliviera is located in the ancient village of Campagnatico, a characteristic medieval center dating back to the tenth century, overlooking the Tuscan Maremma. The splendor of this land on the shore, on the Old Oliviera, is a characteristic rest
La Vecchio Oliviera - Via Trieste 1, TEL:50564 996462 This Pizzeria is located just inside the small hill town of Campagnatico, near to Paganico, above Grosseto. It has the best pizzas around and worth travelling for. It is open all year round, closed on Wednesdays. The tables are all inside and there is great air-con.

i we have really enjoyed going to 'da noi a cana'... on numerous occasions! the welcome and service is always heartfelt - your hosts are present, professional and accommodating with all your wishes! they also cater for vegetarian and gluten-free customers. we all have enjoyed our meals- ranging from a fantastic 'schweinshaxn' at the Octoberfest (what a hoot! do go!) to a falling-off-your-plate sized delicious seafood 'starter' (i dare you to be able to eat anything else after that...) garnished with rolling hills and olive groves on a summer's night on this one of a kind terrace .... the setting is special! they have done a great job with renovations of this property- and i adore the chandeliers in the double volume Loos! :-) Da-noi-a-cana & team; THANK YOU! we'll be back, LOTS and LOTS of times!

The tables are outside next to the road and the menu is also in English. At sunset you can drive past the restaurant and take in the view from the top of the hill at Castello di Monte Antico. There is a small playground next to the taverna where the kids can play. The food is good, especially the pizza with a beautiful thin crust. Service on sunday is charming but the restaurant gets very crowded so it can be quite rushed. There are several good desserts including an Italian creme brûlée. We had pasta - which was home made and delicious.

Porcini, (means little pigs in Italian) are the same mushroom called cèpe (in French), and in Germany, Steinpilz (the "stone mushroom"). They are gathered wild in the woods in the fall and people make some extra money selling them to vendors and restaurants. Here, in Ristorante Rintocco they brought a big plate of the mushrooms for us to see, along with two beautiful fresh fish. We split an antipasto which consisted of a bowl of Tuscan soup, a plate of marinated zucchini and a bruschetta with fresh tomato. I had the home made tagliatelle with the porcini. My husband had fish. My pasta was obviously made by hand and it was slightly over cooked so it stuck together and the porcini sauce was quite sparse. Otherwise everything was good.
