We were staying at the nearby Top Rafting Rooms and this restaurant was the logical choice. We didn't regret it. Very fast service, huge pizzas, great calamari, great beer, very nice staff. We went every evening of our stay in Bovec.Recommendation: Calarmis Tris and Pizza Poletna with extra crudo

Some years ago I visited Ristorante Da Michele and was not impressed. As there are many good restaurants on the SS13 between Tarvisio and Udine and even some excellent restaurants, the need to revisit Da Michele during our trips in the Friuli was not apparent. However, this time we resolved to give Da Michele a second chance and really try to like the restaurant without prejudice. I have to report with regret that it was no good. The pizza had a flat taste and a tough base, the sort of quality we expect from a pizza joint in the Netherlands and what they did with my favorite dessert, panna cotta, I will never know, but I know that the dish gave me indigestion. Furthermore, the service of the staff was again surly and chaotic. I don't think I will give Da Michele a third chance.
A tourist based restaurant offering local specialties. I needed to ask about specials not listed on the menu. First, I had the herb and cheese lasagna, very good, then the venison goulash, also quite good. House red was better than average. The 2 complaints I would point is they offer a salad bar, but instead of salad, I had 2 pieces of cheese, where I was then charged 4 euros. Also it is customary to offer a digestive when one eats a full meal. No such offer was made. In fact my hotel offered it to me!

The pizza is excellent, you buy it by the slice, so it's fast. They have a good selection of drinks and a lovely seating area on the main square. This is the place to go for a quick, great lunch.

Many times we travelled towards Tarvisio and Austria (Carinthia) over the SS13 after a well spent day in the Friuli. Also many times we passed the village of Malborghetto, some kilometers south of Tarvisio. Last October 2011 dinner time had arrived and we decided to look for a place to eat. We observed the sign for Antica Trattoria da Giusi and a small gravel path leading somewere. We preferred to enter the village of Malborghetto through the main road and drove into the village in quest of Da Giusi. The restaurant was easily found. We saw that the small gravel path directly leading from the highway ended on the big parking lot opposite the restaurant. We got a hearty welcome and it appeared that in the evening besides the trattoria menu, also pizza is served. Part of the menu is dedicated to pay tribute to the history of the restaurant and some dishes they offer are based on the history of the area. Furthermore the menu is extensive; there is always something to the liking. The pizza menu is offered together with a checklist. If you are not satisfied with the standard pizza offering, you can "build" your personal pizza by using the check list. The food is well prepared, the pizza is good quality, only the prices are a bit higher than you can expect in a village trattoria in Italy. This is especially true for the wine list. The wine is relatively expensive. In addition to the good meal we had as a coincidence another treat that evening. The restaurant is divided in seperate rooms. In an adjoining room a big table with about 12 seats was reserved for what appeared to be members of a choir. They gave, sitting at their table, recitals between the courses. They were indeed very good, better than the "muzak" that issometimes forced upon you in many restaurants.

Tavernetta is a nice and peaceful restaurant and pizzeria located in Pontebba. We offer the local friulanian cusine and the tipical italian food.
Pizzeria La Tavernetta is located around the corner of the main square in Pontebba, Piazza Dante Alighieri, next to the elevated railway line. The front of the establishment is unobtrusive; however, the restaurant building is very elongated, so there is room enough inside. Furthermore, part of the inventory of this pizzeria is a life size wood fired pizza oven. Cold draft beer is also a core business of La Tavernetta; a delicious pizza, made with fresh ingredients and a large draft beer combined to make a satisfactory and easy to digest meal. The service of the staff was polite and hospitable; prices were moderate as can be expected of a local restaurant. Parking spaces free of charge are close by beyond the railway viaduct. To be recommended.

Yes, a grill can be "comfortable" aren't you agree? well, if you are "on the road" in highway A23 (E55) direction-north you can stop at the "area di parcheggio resia" and walk off the highway, or if you're traveling on the road 13 just to park in front of the grill. And test it. :o)not wrong address (next door is "vecchia rosticceria" to high prices and poor local tastes horrible, I can guarantee).Grill is a common thing in all the world, so don't expect a five-stars gourmet restaurant, but the beer. the chicken and potatoes are very good: Finally, the environment is really spacious and comfortable, unusual in a simple grill.
