I don't like writing bad reviews, but I feel like this needs to be put out there.LET ME CLARIFY, I'm writing this poor review based MOSTLY on the staff and somewhat on the food. We drove around for about 40 minutes trying to find a place to eat on Friday night that wasn't absolutely packed with a wait. We decided to try Portabella because it's been here a while and we'd never been. Well, basically, I feel like we threw away $40.The place wasn't very clean... the table we sat at had a ripped seat and dirty table. I'm not much of a nit-picker, but in this case, I'm putting it ALL out there. When you go in, you pick your own seat. It took about 10 minutes for the "waitress" to come to our table. Let me just say this... BOTH of the waitresses that were there that night looked and acted like zombies who had NO interest in being there. I actually leaned over and asked my boyfriend if they were dead. She came to our table maybe 3 times the whole entire visit... and that was after I started giving her nasty looks because she WOULD NOT come back to our table even though she walked by us MORE than enough times. We ordered 2 calzones and 2 kids pastas. Overall the food was average, nothing special. THIS IS THE KICKER. My boyfriend ordered a calzone. She brings our food out at separate times but all within 5 minutes. When my boyfriends food comes out, she brings him a pizza instead of a calzone. We look at her confused and he says he ordered a calzone. Then she proceeds to pull out the ticket, tell us that we're right and it was her fault. *****She looks my boyfriend in the face, asks him if he wants the pizza instead, and when we say no SHE INSISTS THAT "IT'S BASICALLY THE SAME THING". I spoke up and said no, we'd like what we ordered and they are NOT the same thing. So my kids and I are all eating while he's sitting there waiting. All while we watch the table next to us send their food back (not sure why). She did nothing to make the situation right, we paid full price for everything and I threw my calzone away the next day because I feel like the dough was NOT fully cooked, but gooey. Overall, this place wasn't worth my time or money. I honestly don't know how they are still in business.

The pizza and gyros are really good. The staff does need to pay closer attention to detail as it seems my order is usually messed up somehow when I order there. They always eventually make things right but I don't like the hassle. The menu has changed and now the main type of food is Italian.

I have had the pizza twice now and both times it was very good. Once though we ordered a half mushroom and onion and half ham and pineapple and they charged $2.50 extra for the pineapple because the cook did not consider it a topping. It was not listed under the toppings I realized at this point but they did have it because they have a specialty pizza with pineapple. They did ask before they fixed it though, but still I thought that was a little much for half a pizza's worth of pineapple. (this on top of the price of a regular topping) My husband has had a stromboli that he says was pretty good. My nephew had a Gyro that he liked very much. He says an 8/10. The reason they got an Excellent is because of the garlic knots. We have had them twice and both times they were delicious. Not doughy at all and plenty of the buttery garlic sauce. Don't add the cheese, they don't need it. Tables and boothes, boothes are a little small but tables have plenty of room. Staff friendly. Looked very clean. I will go again.

We were here tonight for our first time. We ordered the five topping thin crust pizza. The sauce was average, the toppings were good but needed more cheese. The crust should have been crispy for a thin crust. It was soggy & couldnât be picked up with your hands. Thank goodness for plates and forks; otherwise, Iâm not sure what we would have done. Iâm doubt we will return to Bellaâs. Edâs pizza was closed for Easter or we would have gone there.

We usually have 1/2 salads and a large pizza. Owner Charlotte is always welcoming and her pizza is even better. We like the texture and taste of their pizza. It is our favorite pizza restaurant, period.

Johnny Brusco's is proud to bring authentic New York style pizza and a variety of housemade dinners, subs, and more to the neighborhoods we call home. We grew up enjoying and perfecting pizza, and now we're sharing our passion with everyone we serve.
Everything from the salads and garlic knots to the pizza, of course, are very tasty! My dad loved their subs too. The space is a little small and it gets crowded but the service is still very good. Definitley worth a try if you want good Italian and pizza!AWESOME! Thanks for the 5-Star rating and positive feedback Jesse! We are visiting in the area so we use Trip Advisor to look for restaurants. I was concerned after reading about this restaurant that the service might not be good. We did not have any issues and both ladies were very accommodating and friendly. My husband ordered a calzone and I had the vegetarian lasagna with garlic bread. My husband had a ham and cheese calzone served with a tomato sauce. He said it was delicious and could only finish about half of it. My spaghetti was excellent and I could only eat about a fourth of the. The garlic bread was good and huge. I ended up sharing it with my husband. The place is small and could use some updating but the food was plentiful, and priced reasonable.

I never thought I would ever say this in a review but our server was way too attentive and friendly. It eventually became extremely annoying. The restaurant is a small place and very comfortable. I ordered the cheese calzone and my husband ordered the chicken parm. The calzone was very greasy and while someone was bringing me more napkins to mop it with, I tasted his meal. It tasted okay but the meat was tough. After using all the extra napkins to mop my calzone it ended up tasting good.Hi Cheryl,Thank you for taking the time to inform us of your recent visit. I'm sorry that you thought your server was "too attentive" to your table. I stress the the guest experience be that of coming to my home and that you are taken care of and are treated like family. As for your unsatisfactory experience with our food, my Calzones are made with 100% pure Wisconsin Mozzarella, so the butterfat is going to be a bit higher than that of the traditional cheese you would find in other pizzerias or quick service chains, plus we top it with a drizzle of garlic butter. The Chicken is pounded before it is breaded tonsure tenderness. My question is, if the server was "too attentive", why didn't you say something to her regarding your food so we could have rectified it for you??Thanks you again for your feed backThe Angry Italian
