It is also a state-recognized thermal brine and sulphur spa town, hence the designation Bad (“Bath”). Also to be found in Bad Bentheim is the castle Burg Bentheim, the town’s emblem. This is the bar/restaurant of a tennis club, so it doesn't have the usual restaurant ambiance. But the food is excellent and the service friendly - one of Bad Bentheim's best kept secrets.

Visited as part of a business trip but I was not offered a choice, it was a set four course meal. A few of the dishes were not something I would have chosen but the quality was fine. Enjoyed nice wine and beer and good service.

Wir haben jeden Tag, der Pizzeria besucht. Nicht jeder Bäcker konnte ein Muster nehmen. Einfach unbeschreiblich, schmackhaft, bei Pizza, keine Ränder ohne Belag, welche viele Leute weg schmeiÃen. Der Personal sehr nett. Wenn wird da jemand essen, dann wird es ein Erlebnis für ihn. Wir kommen da, bei nächsten Besuch in Bad Bentheim bestimmt wieder.

for a quick bite and no expectations it's ok. freindly staff. nice surroundings. food is average, more a tourist menu then auhentic italian food. but the prices are accordingly.
