Being Australian, who knew that many restaurants in the USA are closed on Labor Day!Not being hamburger people we were really struggling until we discovered Flavio tucked away in Georgetown. The place is as big as a barn but don't let that put you off.We shared a serving of mussels for starters. I expected a local product imagine my surprise when i discovered that they appeared to be New Zealand green lipped mussels, a mussel that can be quite chewy. I am happy to report that the chef did an excellent job on them. For mains we had Chicken Piccata with spaghetti and Capellini Pomodoro with chicken Both servings were massive, what is it with the American penchant to give you far too much food? Served down with a very respectable cab sauv and moscato, coffee and desert to finish. We were out for just under $120 before a tip and had a very nice meal. Thanks to Sarah our friendly waitress

If you want to get a sense of our business philosophy, all you have to do is pick up a slice. Thereâs no better testament to âDedication to Quality, Commitment to Innovationâ than the pizza itself. At Extreme Pizza, weâre always experimenting with new way
Searching and searching for the kind of generous pizza made by one-off (i.e. non chain) pizza joints -- the kind you find all over New England run by Greek and Italian families... sick of "artisan" pizza that's wafer thin and stingy with ingredients despite costing 3x what pizza should. This small and cozy sidewalk shop was sending waves of appetizing scents out the door. It is small, but has just the right amount of seating if you want to eat in. I liked the vibe: busy, upbeat, warm, comfortable.Never having been here before I ordered a two cheese slices - the test of a pizza - for myself and a friend.Good news: each individual slice (if you order it by the slice) is actually as big as 2 slices. Bad news: reminded me of a pizza you'd find at a highway rest stop snack shop. Darn.Hi 1Bug2Bug,Making sure that our guests always receive the best of what we have to offer is a big goal of ours, and we're sorry to see that you were left with such a different impression. We recognize that while our pizza is well loved by our guests, not everyone has the same palette. This is the reason that we offer so many delicious choices of sauces and toppings. We hope that you will give us another try, and can experiment with some of our other flavor combos! Weâre sure that you find something you love.

Nice atmosphere, but definitely more open/loud (thus "cafe" I suppose). The wait staff is polite and helpful while the sandwiches/subs are fantastic! I'm a big fan of the New York Yankee (which hurts just to order) and their reuben, but there have been others that I've enjoyed tremendously. It may be difficult to choose (I think there are over 50 options), so consider previewing the menu online before you go. Does get crowded, so consider avoiding the peak hours if you'd like more space and less of a wait.

We opened Pizzeria Paradiso so we could make the kind of pizza we longed for but couldnât find in the DC area; the kind of pizza where the crust was the most important part. To create that crust, we start with a wood-burning, domed, stone oven able to coo
This place had great reviews so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Everything we had was amazing, tasted so authentic. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Will be back.

Very thin crust and loaded with flavor. Eight of us ordered an assortment of custom pizzas. We had pork sausage, and meatballs on a 12" pie for 2 of us. Yummy !! We were starving and it fiiled us up. Rest of group had other toppings, including an egg. One of our crowd had a nice looking salad. I wish they had a Cesar salad, but they didn't. Everyone ate all their pizzas, and we sent empty plates back to kitchen. Very sweet and friendly wait staff. The place was packed!!! (Saturday evening) Really too noisy for me, but I guess that's Georgetown on a summer weekend. I had to speak loudly to my dinnermates, in order to be heard. If you can take the high level of excited conversation, it's great pizza.

Tuscarora Mill's owners and chef have created a winning pizza restaurant by opening Fire Works in Leesburg in 2006. Next comes our "city-fied" addition of the ultimate pizzeria and bar. How do we do it? Great pizzas from the five-ton wood fired oven , a s
Loved the steak salad- it had a really good quality steak and lots of it. People liked their pizzas a lot. Service was quick and we had a lot of us to feed at once. The crew goes here often because food quality is generally high and prices are reasonable.

This was our first time eating here and it was awesome. We had the garlic pizza and it was the best that we ever had. Service and staff were great! It is worth the visit.

This place is without equal (except for its sister location in Rosslyn, of course) for real Italian subs. It's a hopping tempo at lunchtime so expect a wait at the sandwich counter. Somehow, the sandwiches are unique - I have no idea how they accomplish that in such a crowded field. It's fun being in a gourmet Italian food shop (like a really small Eataly) so the atmosphere and decor make a big impact on the positive vibes. It's hard to drive through Westover without stopping - especially since there's such a great outdoor patio area (with a "Vespa Parking Only" area) for al fresco dining.
