I felt bad for the one man running the restaurant. There was only one other table occupied when we arrived but it took 45 minutes to get our pizza. The one person working was taking orders, baking pizzas, cleaning table and taking phone in orders. The pizza was ok but nothing special.

The waitress we had was not an impressive waitress. She ignored us the whole time. Another waitress brought out our food and plates when we finished eating we had to signal her from across the room for our box and check. Not impressed

When your family needs a tasty pizza at very reasonable prices you've hit the mother-load of great pizza. Mouth watering pizza or great wings are what they service, take out or drive-through for your convenience. Take a break and make it easy cooking!

Ok kiddies, get your notepads out, She's at it again. Giving out history lessons in the guise of rating a restaurant. Be sure to take notes for her quiz... Here Goes:Waaayyyyyyy Back in the 1940's, after WWII around 1947, there was a Dairy Bar at 424 West Chisholm Street in Alpena. They had invented a frozen concoction called a TRIANGLE. It was a Popsicle, on a stick, shaped like a triangle. They couldn't keep up with the demand. Then the BIG Boys came in with Popsicles, & theirs faded into history. So did the dairy bar. Numerous restaurants opened & closed there. It was a pretty good location between two schools & across from a factory. Fast forward to the 1960-70's & an entrepreneur opened a Pizza place & he called it Dino's.Pizzarea. It was just a little small town joint & no one thought to copyright its name. One day they were served with court papers to cease & desist using the name. It was copyrighted to another company & they were going to sue. That is how Komo's Pizza began. It is a little hole in the wall, has a counter with four booths inside and two picnic tables outside & now sits across the US Highway (street to us) from the Public Safety Building which was built on the site of the former factory. Different people have owned it but the recipe is still the same.Good, tasty, American Pizza. They also have a variety of other good takeout items - or you can eat there. It's quick, convenient, has tasty Mozzarella cheese (some places stint & use crappy cheese & it ruins an otherwise good pizza) & does not taste like it came from one of the box stores. I like it. You will too. Strictly mom & Pop! Drat! I don't have a photo. Hmmm, will have to get one!

We ordered a delivery order while visiting Alpena from our hotel room. We were impressed with the customer service - we ordered a daily special that we saw on their website (large 2 item pizza and cheesy bread for $11.99 - Great deal!) and the employee offered to split the toppings unto the 2 sides, which our family appreciates very much. We were quoted for a 30 minute wait for delivery, and it was delivered by a polite deliveryman in less than 30 minutes. The pizza and cheese bread were both delicious - we would definitely order again if in the area!

Friday night our group purchased multiple pizzas from J.J.s and they were delicious! On Saturday we took a ride over to the restaurant for lunch. I was ready for a White Fish dinner when I was told (and I read), that dinners are only served after 3 p.m. I was really bummed. I had a chicken Cesar salad instead which was not exciting. Two in our party had the Hoagies. They are huge so I definitely recommend ordering a half. They are made on delicious homemade bread. Most of our group ordered burgers and everyone loved them. The staff was helpful and courteous.
