We went to see the trulli city with our family of 4. We found the restaurant through tripadvisor, and went there for lunch. (It is 500m from the trulli zone)We had Pizza for the children, pasta and white wine for the lady, and i got entrecote with potatoes and red wine.It was a very good meal, one of our best lunches in Italy after a week here.Pizzaes was of high quality, the pasta was great! The meat was very well grilled!Good service, got our food fast - a little warm inside the restaurant. (But it was a very warm day in july)Only mistanke i made, was not to order fries for the entrecote.

The Osteria Antichi Sapori restaurant, immersed in the vineyards of the Pyrrhus Canal, near the renowned Selva di Fasano and the road to Alberobello, is an ideal place to rediscover and enjoy the delicacies of typical Apulian cuisine. The Osteria Antichi
We stumbled upon Antichi Sapori on our way from Polignano a Mare to Ostuni and were treated to the best meal we had in Italy. Everything was perfect about it - sitting outside with a gentle breeze blowing, tables covered with white linen - the epitome of an Italian lunch. We shared Puglia burrata and salumi, bocconcini and tomato salad, amongst other dishes. The winning dish was undoubtedly the lasagna -I've never tasted such delicate lasagna, with paper-thin sheets of pasta covered in a delectable meat sauce, very light on the cheese, which was beyond perfection. The staff was welcoming and service was impeccable. If travelling in Puglia, this osteria is well worth a detour. You won't be disappointed. After months that we can answer, we remember the votive stay in our restaurant in the cool of our two trees. We thank you for the nice words spent in the treatment we have reserved. We are waiting for you on your next trip here in Puglia. Peppino Laterza

Great moderately priced restaurant in the Trulli zone in Alberobello. Wonderful, fresh food, and not a tourist trap.
Six family members having a great time and dinner. Everyone had something different with a lot of sharing and everything was perfect. The food, wine and service were really good. I would highly recommend a reservation. Every table was taken. It is located in the heart of the trulli zone.

In cucina, C
The region of Puglia is such a gem also because the restaurants still respect traditional recipies and culinary vision - this is why you will find many places with no fix menu, where the proprietors adapt their dishes to the season and to what fresh products are available. La Nicchia is not such a place. This is a modern restaurant, the type you would find in most large urban areas. The pasta I had wasn't bad, but you can eat it in many 4star european hotels. The gamberi I had as secondi wasn't bad but it wasn't fresh. Frozen shrimp is also available all over Europe - again, nothing out of the ordinary. Nice service though and a lovely terrace.

Sometimes you just want something simply good for dinner. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, but nonetheless tasty and satisfying. This local hangout really hit the spot. Place your order at the register, hang out until your number pops up, and grab your food from the window and a seat at the communal table. The breads were fresh and slightly oven smoked with generous fillings that had us headed back to our hotel stuffed like the schiaccione and satisfied!

Taglieri
We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The portions were generous and the food was of high quality. The service was also extremely good and the prices were reasonable. We arrived promptly at 7.30pm when it opened and when we left there was a queue of people outside waiting for a table to come free so itâs probably best to arrive early.

Amazing restaurant. We arrived without a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in. Really enjoyed the delicious food and wine. Service was slow but was worth the wait. The place is really big and was jam packed with locals the whole night. The pasta dishes were fantastic and were accompanied by fresh vegetables. The tomato salad was a lovely accompaniment to the meal and the local wine was excellent. Great value. Definitely worth a visit.

Second visit in four days says a great deal for the quality of this place. We were the only English which also says a lot for the food quality, full of locals. Gorgeous food, mainly pizzas but lots of starters to choose from. We had two small children with us and they loved it too. Very nice wine and either glasses or jugs of lager. Lovely setting outside eating area but it felt like you were inside. Plenty of space but you need to get there early. It doesn't open until 8pm so you should either book or be there just before opening time.
