We have fallen in love with Crete and have holidayed in Kali chorio 3 years running. We love this beautiful village with fabulous beaches food drink and a fantastic close knit community of friends and family. Commotions is fantastic day and night with a wonderful welcome from Joan George and the regulars.. They make us feel like friends not just customers and the banter is not to be missed! Lovely cold beer cider wine and cocktails and a lovely snacks menu..wish we were there now! For fab evenings with the best people just go there! Viv and Paul Glasgow x

We had a ice cream stop here, the staff was nice, the location as well and the ice cream delicious. Located at the corner of the lake area.
Lovely place to have a chilled couple of cocktails, or in my husbands case a strawberry doughnut milkshake, very friendly staff, comfy seats and free fruit and nibbles

Come to Tullio Cucina Italiana to enjoy the best pizza and pasta in Crete along with the great view of Lake Voulismeno at the centre of the town of Agios Nikolaos!
We visited Tullio last night for what was the worst eating experience of the holiday. We waited for our table to be cleared of dirty dishes for 15 minutes. One waitress came to take our food order and when I told her that we hadnât even had our table cleared or ordered drinks she told me, âYou order now as I am taking another order and it will be a waste of my time.â Gobsmacked! When the food finally arrived my â¬11.20 pizza was missing ingredients and so was a margherita topped only with mushrooms. It was so bland and barely warm. When I asked another waitress where the chilli toppings were, she responded âIf it says on the menu they are in it, they are in it.â I showed her the topping-less pizza to which she said, âThey must be in the sauce!! â??? I gave up! They had no pizza oil, despite being an Italian, nor any sauce of any kind, so we couldnât even spice up the bland food. Overall, the worst service we have received all holiday and certainly not worth the money. Try another Italian if you visit the area, such as Olio in Elounda.

Good to discover an authentic Italian pizzeria in Crete. Much as I like Greek cuisine, a nice fresh Caprese makes a pleasant change from a Greek Salad, and fresh pasta and pizza breaks the monotony of souvlaki and chips! Very good value too, and lovely friendly staff. What's not to like?

A beautiful bespoke Pizzeria overlooking the marina. It has a lovely cozy feel about it as you sit surrounded various splashes of colour found in the tables, chairs and cushions all blending in with the natures own offering of blue sea, sky and bougainvillea. The food is excellent with fresh pizzas made as you wait. There are several options to choose from with a selection of salads to go with it. Our choice was a vegetarian pizza with a tomato and cucumber salad, helped along with a pint of beer and a homemade ginger beer (my personal favourite!) The service is excellent, you will always get a friendly welcome from Nikos and Marina.

The best place for fresh pizza, delicious spaghetti, excellent meat and fish dishes, combined with amazingly low prices
This is a popular restaurant with everything; from pizza and pasta to souvlaki. We had lunch there. The pizza was good but not excellent. The basis was thin and crispy but the toppings were over cooked. Added bonus was the fresh tomatoes. For Greek standards, 10 euros for an 8 piece pizza is more expensive than usual: 8 euros should be enough. Friendly and efficient service.

Found this little gem whilst the kids were having a swim, staff were smiley, attentive, helpful, food was so fresh, and Iâve had a couple of bad bits of salmon in Crete. This food was delicious! We all loved it and Iâve recommended friends to return there today on there trip to Aghios Nikolaos.
