Had wonderful lunch here with family. Very authentic osteria with great selection of Tuscan favorites. The pizza looked good but we opted for pasta and secondi. The ravioli with butter and sage was outstanding, as was the pasta with sugo cinghiale. We enjoyed the sausage and beans as well as the rabbit - both excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Itâs s cozy place and great for a long relaxing meal.

This place makes you feel like you have gone back in time and feels more like some place in Paris than the top of a Tuscan town on a narrow street not reachable by any car. There is a romantic restaurant underneath that we did not discover until the last night as we only hit the street level cafe a couple of nights for after dinner drinks of lemoncello and sambucca with various small pastries for dessert. There is a small balcony to sit at to look over the valley below. A couple we met that had eaten there said the food and service were amazing. The best linens are used and there is soft lighting(not common in many of the smaller restaurants)and candles on the table.

We visited this Pizzeria for take away pizzas and despite a lack of Italian on our part and a lack of English on the owner's part, we were able to make ourselves understood. The chap explained that he would have to fire up the oven and suggested that we come back in an hour. As we had shopping to do, we were happy to do so. On our return, the pizzas were not quite ready-we were given a complimentary glass of wine whilst we waited in the sunshine-not a bad way to spend an afternoon! The pizzas were really good and we all enjoyed them. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated and the owner truly affable. We often visit this region and will return to eat in!

"Il Covo".... the restaurant of traditions, the place where we maintain, conserve and reintroduce the recipes of my great-grand mother, the genuineness of the used products, the love for cooking, following to the ancient recipes to offer the real flavours
Do not miss this restaurant when you are in town! My husband and I have been dining at this restaurant for over 10 years. Claudia and Max are wonderful owners⦠They take care of everything you need. Claudia the chef is fantastic. Her food is scrumptious. The Decour is fabulous! We just moved to town this December and we eat here at least once a week. This is a staple restaurant for us. The food is consistently delicious and served and plated beautifully. Make sure you dine here at least once! The views from the terrace are incredible. Thank you so much for your fidelity, it's our pleasure to welcome you each time!!!!

We visit this place every year - eating pizza on the terrace overlooking Tuscany is the best feeling! The pizzas are unbelievably thin based and have beautiful toppings. Only one waitress speaks a bit of English but we muddle through with our smattering of Italian. Very popular place with the locals, which speaks volumes. Love it!

It's entirely possible we arrived on their most nightmare evening imaginable....but......We were a party of 11 that pre booked several days previously with the intention of experiencing the best pizza in Montepulciano. Half of us have lived and worked in Italy for many years so we where hoping to show our friends how the Italians can serve a meal. How wrong we were...Upon arrival we discovered that there wasn't a pizza chief on duty that night....fair enough we'll order from the main menu then....At this point I'd like you all to know that I'd never be happy rating any place as a 1* until you hear me out to the end.The star goes to our lovely waiter who managed to smile charmingly all evening to us. The first course arrived and was generally well received by the youngsters, however the more experienced eaters were disappointed with the bland bruschetta and truly awful salad. The main course eventually arrived.....a whole hour later!! Where do I begin?! Both steaks were well done rather than rare as had been ordered and the side orders of chips weren't served until nearly the end of the meal. All the pasta dishes were bland and over cooked. My own shared meat platter was extremely dry and hugely over salted, complet with the side order of rosemary potatoes with no rosemary... There were other minor issues, too numerous to mention for a hungry party of 11 but you'd hope that there'd be a little bit of negotiation over a â¬300 bill. NO! With the grimmest smile I've ever seen on a duty manager, complete with her reasoning that it's really difficult serving 11 people a meal at the same time, â¬10 discount was all that was offered. In short all of us were very disappointed with the service and overall quality of the food. Sorry to say but after my experience I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Enjoy Montepulciano its genuinely a lovely place.

An inviting place, with great attention to detail with only genuine and typical products from ValdiChiana and Valdorcia. A selection of cold cuts, bruschetta and crostini, almond cookies and pies, Breadsoup and seasonal soups, fresh pasta with cheese & pe
While visit Tuscany we stumble into this place. It's the restaurant of an hotel nearby the highway. Don't let the unassuming outside scare you! You will miss out! The food and the service were top notch. The owner and cook went above and beyond to make us feel at home and above all the (huge) Fiorentina steak was delicious! The interior is nice and they have original scooters and small autos from the 50s to top it up.It is also great value for money: We had bruschettas with ham, 2 sides of tomatoes and beans, a 1,3kg fiorentina steak, wine, water and coffee for 59 euro (owner didn't accepted tip)Absolutely recommendThank you very much for the nice review.I am pleased that enjoyed your recent stay with us here at the Prosciutteria Toscana.

Because it's good, it's busy, usually with locals, which is always a good sign. Daniel is a friendly English speaking manager, his partner is a wonderful cook. My wife says the Picci with beef Ragu is the best she's ever had and we've been going to Italy for 10 years. The Steaks are wonderfull in fact we've never had a bad meal yet and we've eaten there often. I've never tried one but the Pizzas look fantastic too. The name if the place is Il Botteghino so there may be another page elsewhere. We eat here at least twice a year.

The Restaurant Pizzeria La Loggetta , opened in September 2001, is located in the main street of Gracciano about 6 km from the famous Montepulciano , pearl of the ' 500 . The Restaurant Pizzeria La Loggetta , managed with passion , competence and courtesy
Ate here twice during our recent stay at a cottage nearby. Food nice, reasonably priced and service good. Cover charge only â¬1.50 which is cheaper than in nearby Montepulciano restaurants. Owner/head waiter comes out to check if you are ok and enjoying the food through-out your meal and he brings the bill with a complimentary shot of grappa/limoncello.

Stumbled across Piccolo Ristorante in the delightful village of Torrita di Siena. We sat in the outside garden setting with beautiful views over the Tuscan countryside. Our waitress was delightful and laughed with us over our lack of Italian. The mushroom tagliatelle was absolutely delicious, the menu choice extensive and reasonably priced. A really lovely lunch time stop.
