Find out what Peruvian restaurants to try in Arequipa. In Peru's second-most populous city, aka "The White City," stunning colonial buildings made of pearly sillar stone vie for attention with the surrounding volcanoes and snow-capped peaks of the western Andes. Founded in 1540, it's a smorgasbord of mansions and museums. The top attraction, 215,000-square-foot Santa Catalina Monastery, is like its own city within a city, complete with fountains and cobblestone streets. Arequipa is the favorite base for visiting Colca Canyon and its massive condors.

Welcome WE ARE HATUNPA and the potatoes are our passion. Our concept is a base of boiled potatoes, served "skin on" in slices, covered with the topping of your choice. We have hot and cold toppings; with beef, alpaca, chicken, tuna and vegetables choices;
You can order an entree with up to seven (which I recommend) types of potatoes under it. I had the red chile relleno, which was plenty flavorful. And where else can you go to sample seven types of potatoes at once! My kid had the lomo saltado, another winner. Worth going back to!

Cozy Vegetarian Restaurant with a delicious set menu with four courses. Try also our amazing cakes and burguers.
Great vegetarian food and with the option for vegan. Super cheap at 10 soles for set menu at lunch or dinner. Good amount of food and comes with drink and simple desert. Service is always great as well. Guilty of going here at least 5 times since it was hard to beat or I was too lazy to find something different. Thank you Nicolás for your visits, it was a pleasure to take care of you. Keep enjoying Peru!

Restaurant is a lot of effort, passion for food, dinde offer, sensacionesa through food
After eating at a number of restaurants throughout Peru, it is fair to say this is one of the most elegant at a reasonable price range. Set within a typical colonial courtyard, expectations were high upon entry and Damas didnât fail to deliver. The food was great, particularly the steak with mushroom sauce accompanied by a fine bottle of Peruvian Malbec. Specific thanks to our lovely waiter Ademir

If you are looking for a good place to eat and enjoy the time with your friends. This is your best option! *
We arrived just after opening time, yet were warmly welcomed. Alpaca and all things meat related on the menu. Big portions, all perfectly cooked over charcoal. The food was a no nonsense meat fest with appropriate Peruvian accompaniments. The surroundings could be described as rustic but at £9/head with a couple of beers whoâs complaining! On Jerusalem, one of the main drags into Arequipa city centre - don't pass it by!Thanks for your comment we are really happy that you enjoyed our food we hope you could share our restaurant and make more people enjoy our service cheers

I clearly told the waiter that I wanted my lamb cook medium well but instead was given medium rare. Owner/manager came to apologise but didn't do much except offered two small chocolate as compensation. Worse off is he gave the excuse that waiters couldn't speak English and most of his customers are locals. The restaurant that day was filled with 90 percent foreigners and he gave an excuse again that it was an exceptional day. With more than 120 reviews in english its a bad excuse that most of their customers are local. Really shameful. Dear Sir. There was indeed a misunderstanding with your waiter last night, on how you wanted your lamb chops to be cooked, and we truly apologize for it. Nevertheless, you should have let us know about the error right away, it would have been our pleasure to cook the meat a little more; however, since you finished the dish, our waiter assumed everything was ok. We have been in business for 2 1/2 years providing our customers with only quality produce, the freshest meats, and fish. Trying to be truthful and respectful, doing everything 100% natural from scratch. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience, and everything you were told by the manager, is true.

Espacio_Lagom is a space that offers a different kind of experience, where one can come to relax, to read, to work or just have a chat with his friends while sharing tasty dishes, draft beers and infusions.
My husband ordered the roll of the day, which had dried chicken and squid. Is it a traditional roll? Of course not, but it was good and rich. I ordered trout with cucumbers and avocado. The trout was fresh and the spicy mayo and soy sauce were good. I wouldâve liked a little fresh ginger with it. The waitress was nice and attentive, and they gave us free water (rare in Peru).

I am not sure why others have found service to be spotty....ours was fantastic. We ordered a seasonal special of a tomahawk steak for 2, which came with a lovely salad and a pitcher of Sangria for a very reasonable price. the quality of the meat was excellent; every bit as good as any fine steakhouse in the USA. Overall, thumbs up.Dear costumer,Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your visit to Alma Bar Restaurante.We appreciate very much your review and we are happy to know that you could enjoy of our Tomahawk and that you find it tasteful.
