Great service minded staff. Location smack on the river, close to everything, plus the free ferry to wherever practically just outside the door. Always nice âGastro pubâ kind of meals which taste lovely and is served well. Great beer selection, with a decent price level for Norway, and you also have the nice touch with free popcorn being passed around or a regular basis.A bit cold inside in some spots when it is cold outside.Hei! We were six friends Who shared a sharing menu. We ordered one of each dish (10) plus desserts. This was enough food to please us all. I think I had two dishes that i disliked, and the rest was very good. I had Ice cream for dessert, which was very good. I also tasted the Rosmarin Creme Brulee, which i did not like at all.. Strange spice to put in a dessert..We had the "fire place table" in the corner by the window, a really good place to sit - Very cozy! The staff was really friendly and gave good advise :)

The food was very good. Difficulty menu to understand especially allergy. asked but they could not answer for sure that there wasmilk in the soup, so had to choose something else. reason that I have too give this not that good rating is because we eat breakfast here that we got through are hotel, and it was bad, small selection , only orange jucie which were watered out. And it was very expensive.

This must be one of the best Places if you want to drink beer because they have a great selection, and on the menu all dishes come With recommendation of which beer to drink if one wants to drink beer. But even if we were not going to have a beer, we got excellent service! It is a huge Place. We had both beefburgers and Fish, and the plates were well presented and the portions were generous.

Friendly and welcoming service at Engelsviken harbour. A nice spot to enjoy lunch or some beers out in the sun. However, not the best views with the large building next door, but nice sea-interiors and atmosphere inside.About the food I would recommend ordering something fishy - I canât recommend the meat burgers.

This is a very popular and relaxed location for a bite to eat. As my Norwegian language skills are lacking I followed those already sitting at the tables and ordered beer with an order of waffles. It was a good but unusual combination. Besides the waffles, the salads and soups looked like a good choice. Beer with Waffles are never wrong :) Thank you very much for your friendly review.

Looking for a good barbeque/grill restaurant? The opening of KÃL in Fredrikstad marks a new era for the local carnivores. At present (July 2019) I have only tried burnt ends and mixed barbecue (spareribs, pulled pork, beef short ribs and prime brisket), and they both exceeded my expectations. One should of course expect tasty and tender meat at such a restaurant, and KÃL delivers! I will also mention the sauces, and a VERY nice corn dip. Even the fries tasted better for some reason. And finally â the Key Lime Pie⦠(speechless). Add to that a very nice atmosphere, the brand new premises and an enthusiastic, service-minded and competent staff - you get an overall excellent experience. I will be back! Highly recommended!
