Our Nth visit to Deliciosa and itâs still in our top 3 places to visit in Hawkes Bay.Food is always amazing and the portions very generous. The service was both friendly and fast. We always choose to sit on the covered and heated terrace, which has a lovely feel.We donât usually order desert and we were very pleasantly surprised. We love how the menu is a mixture of gorgeous old classics and delightful new surprises. The wine selection is always excellent too, (especially the Rioja).

Four of us went here early on a Saturday evening and the place was already quite busy. However the staff were were cheerful and made us fell very welcome. The menu had a good range of food - one of those places where you have trouble choosing a meal becasue there any several equally temting options. What we did choose was delicious and well-cooked - raning from pork belly to duck presse. I would go back there in a heartbeat for delicious food that is more interesting than what you would normally cook at home but not so avant garde that you don't relax and just enjoy the food.

Craggy Range Restaurant offers a warm and memorable experience, looking out on the spectacular backdrop of Te Mata Peak. We are fortunate to be located in the Hawkeâs Bay; home to some of New Zealandâs finest produce. We collaborate closely with our suppl
Dinner in the cellar for 16 as part of a surprise 50th. Excellence from the moment Majda and Lisa greeted us with Champagne, then down into the cellar for tucker. If there is a better dinner venue than this in NZ, I will go he!!!! Absolutely stunning. Amazing vista. Awesome wines. Magnificent food - definitely not minimalist art on a plate that is so de rigueur in many fine dining restaurants these days. Potato bread with camembert butter - we could've eaten 100 loaves. Followed by venison tartar and haloumi entrees - lamb and flounder mains - finished off by a rhubarb yumminess dessert. You should've seen the marinated garden veggies that accompanied the mains!!!! Knock me down with a feather - this place is world class. The culture is amazing as is everything they do. We are heading back soon for She Who Must Be Obeyed's work Xmas do. This is a must for all travellers in the Bay and should be a regular treat for locals. Can't wait to go back. How wonderful! So glad you enjoyed your time with us. With regard to your title, we have in fact achieved 2 hats which is the closest NZ equivalent to the Michelin star rating, which we are thrilled with but we'll take a Michelin star from you.Fantastic you are coming back and we look forward to seeing you soon!Kind Regards, The Team at Craggy Range

We had a lovely dinner here. The menu has a good range to suit all preferences. Staff were good, and the service was not rushed. Most of the meals were very enjoyable, the highlights were the red meat dishes, lamb, beef and venison. The fish was average, the pumpkin dumplings were dry. The truffles for dessert are a fab option!

$95 a head for a 3 course lunch, in a delightful isolated setting.Wines were around $20 a glass.Silent, but attentive service, in a grand room overlooking the distant golf course, then right up the coast toward Napier.Seared scallops and peas, with roast lamb as the main. As you would expect, the quality of the produce was superb. If you get a chance this is definitely worthwhile !

We visited Mangapapa restaurant for their Five course dinner menu. The actual is a nine coarse dinner which is world class dining. The Chilian Executive chef provides nine coarses of absolutely fantastic food. Taste, freshness and presentation using many local supplied foods makes for a excellent 5 star dining.Dear Bob L, Wow! Thank you so much! Your review made our team chuckle, yes the five course dinner does seem to turn into a 9 course with all the extras that Chef likes to create. That's the beauty of creating the menus new everyday, its gives our kitchen team flexibility with their creativity and the guests often benefit from a few extra dishes ;) So glad you enjoyed it, it means a lot to Chef and her team to be recognised as world class. Thank you and we hope to see you again soon. Kind regards,The Mangapapa Team

Clifton cafe is under new ownership and no longer trades as Clifton Cafe CLIFTON CAFE Closed 10th April 2019
Had brunch here today and have to say, the whole experience was perfect. Got a table in the shade with views, the coffees came out almost straight away and were lovely. food was delicious - very happy tummies. All the staff were friendly. Impressed with menu selection - while it isn't huge it caters for V and GF and there's nice looking cabinet food too. A pleasure for you to enjoy. May I ask a favour. We were seeking a rustic setting for both wine tasting and a meal and the Clearview Winery and associated Red Shed Restaurant fitted the bill.Although the winery was very busy, there was plenty of parking and we were provided with a tasting opportunity without delay. After selecting our wine for lunch we sat in the lovely courtyard setting for lunchA wide variety of food types was on offer, the food was delicious and the service was both friendly and efficient.Well worth a visit.

*Best Winery Restaurant 2018* Elephant Hill is a stunning and innovative wine estate and restaurant located on the idyllic Te Awanga coast, in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Stylish, warm and inviting, Elephant Hill is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy del
We arrived on Sunday for lunch. The atmosphere was relaxed and the scenery was beautiful, the view of the vineyard and the ocean in the background was exquisite. The food was something else. Not only did it look incredible it also tasted incredible. Highly recommended the food. The host at the cellar door was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased the Elephant Hill Syrah 2017 - smooth light red wine, fantastic drop. We enjoyed this restaurant so much we went back on the Thursday night. The only reason Iâm rating a 4 and not a 5 is because the wait staff forgot our sides with our main both times. Highly recommended, if you go to Hawkeâs Bay itâs a must visit.
