We attended Crab Farm Winery for dad's 80th birthday where 19 guests were in attendance. It was a busy time for them but the staff handled it so well and gave us the best service. Gemma made everything easy for us from our initial inquiry to bringing out the birthday cake at the end. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the selection of wines. We love the atmosphere and decor - its a funky place with a huge fire which is warm and inviting.

Our first visit... brunch with friends from out of town. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and well price. The decor is dark for a brunch, but has outside seating if the weather is settled.Good service and good value. 252antoinetteb,Many thanks for your post and great to see that you enjoyed your breakfast. We have many different areas within the Emporium to enjoy and are about to expand our outside area to make the most of the Hawkes Bay weather. It's just a shame that on the day you came in it was not the best for outside dining.Once again thanks for you feedback and we look forward to hosting you back again soon.Kind regardsRob & the Emporium team

Look forward to our next Seafood session.

Great food, service and drinks. We visited on our honeymoon as part of a one night stay in Napier and were not disappointed. We had the mixed tasting menu (which changes daily) and all dishes were excellently presented, good value, tasty and like nothing weâd had previously in NZ or elsewhere. If youâre in Napier make sure you stop by! Booking advised.

Had heard great things about this place but extremely disappointing. Service was very good though. I had the paper bag fish it was terrible, no flavour at all. I would have complained but we were were guests and it was embarassing. Looked forward to the famous donuts that were so dry and disappointing. The lamingtons were also the same. Would not return. Its not an exactly cheap meal but not sure what has happened here but they need to sort their meals out.

For mains the 2 ladies chose the Fish of the Day Special which was groper; one was barely cooked (but almost acceptable) the other was a very chunky piece and was raw towards the middle so returned for more cooking...it was subsequently replaced with another piece which was OK but by now the extra seasonal vegetables were almost stone cold!!! My main was medium rare fillet steak; it came out blue, So a large piece of the replacement was returned to the kitchen for the trash can.Decided to alert the very nice young waitress to our concerns which were passed on, which warranted a visit by the Dining room Manager who offered her apologies with complimentary deserts for 2 , and nil charge for the 2 x mains which were not acceptable. We accepted her offer.Went to pay our reduced bill at the desk to be talked too rather grumpily by a germanic woman who was obviously having a bad hair day. A sad end to what should have been an excellent experience at a TOP Restaurant in the Bay.Perhaps the Kitchen staff simply had a bad patch; or were down on staff! Or maybe the Chief Chef had a day off!!Our young waitress was excellent having been well trained, as was the Manageress. But the person on the till needs to learn that she has a job simply because people like us are happy to part with our hard earned dollars for food and service.Mission did their best to "put it right" which was accepted, thank you.We will return to the Mission on our next visit to the Bay next year

The reviews were promising an we had a friend in town. We arrived on time and were seated although the restaurant was not well heated Om a cold night. Ordered our drinks and food from an average menu. We had a good catchup with our guest and after an hour realised we did not have our meals yet others had finished. I raised this with the waiter. After a delay he returned to advise our order had been lost. We re-ordered and were promised our meals would be given urgent priority. After another 20 minutes and no meal I complained . There was a major war going on in the kitchen and the chef swore (literally) she was doing her best. Another 10 minutes our dinner was served. Meals were very average and protein was accompanied by boring cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots - no sauce. Cashier tried to calm us by offering a small discount. Not sure why we needed to pay for anything - this is the worst service ever!New Zealand restaurants do not know how to handle complaints.

Fresh Food NOT fast food! We are just a simple Pub doing our best - Not fine dining. Just a few minutes drive from anywhere in Napier, Hawkes Bays oldest licence dating back to 1851. With onsite PAK Asian Kitchen (5 Days) and a favourite with the locals i
Based on previous reviews I was expecting more, turned up at 5.00 pm for an early dinner. Maybe they were not ready to be serving meals - mine got mixed up, daughter received hers after the people who sat and ordered after us. Meals were ok, though the dumplings are too spicy for kids to eat. Note it is a Pepsi bar, not coke. Good thing, they do burgers in a bowl, fantastic if you are low carb (keto). Has large screens if keen to watch sport, So we did not get it spot on. We try to be an excellent Pub Bistro and priced accordingly.Yes most of our Asian dishes would be too spicy for a child's palette as they are designed for adults. We do have a huge range non alcoholic drinks - Pepsi, Pepsi Max, Seven up, Coke No Sugar, Lemon & Paeroa, Sprite, Bunderberg, No sugar Bunderberg, Homegrown OJ, Apple, VVVVV and Six Barrel soda - My personal favourite filtered water!!Just by way explanation, not all dishes or ordering are always in time line, people may be in hurry and we have 4 different stations.Hope this helps as your review helped us.Cheers Jeremy
