We are regulars of this restaurant, we always get great food and the service is always nice and friendly! We have tried many of the dishes and have not tasted anything we don't like. It is really good value for money too as each meal comes with rice, naan bread and raita. I would definitely recommend and I'm sure we will return many more times!

I noticed this restaurant by chance and was delighted to see it was another Indian restaurant, given that Indian is one of my favourite cuisines. I couldn't wait to order a takeaway and was pleasantly surprised. The staff there are absolutely wonderful, very polite and friendly and meticulous when checking your order. Since then we have had several takeaways from them and have also visited them during a lunchtime buffet. We like our food spicy, fiery hot so usually we have to request this upon ordering. We have ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh, Lamb Dopiaza, and Hyderbadi Lamb. Also a Chicken Butter Tikka Masala for our son. It comes with rice, as normal for restaurants in Finland. We also ordered Garlic Naan and poppadums and onion salad - everything was delicious. The takeaway containers are packaged and sealed in plastic containers, to avoid any spillage...that's a huge plus for me!Our favourite dish there would have to be the Lamb Dopiaza as it is brillantly spiced and flavoursome, particularly with the peppers to enhance the dish. When visiting the buffet, I was glad the Dopiaza was on the list too, however I was ever so slightly disappointed that the buffet curries are kind of generic tasting, much similar to other restaurants in Oulu, but I guess this is due to the mass production of the dishes for the buffet. Anyway, it certainly didn't disappoint me too much. If I wasn't on a wretched diet, I'd probably visit a bit more frequently!Price-wise: comparable to the other restaurants in town though occasionally Tandoori hut will have a special offer, so please watch out for those!I highly recommend you try this restaurant and please do not be put off by it being right at the other end of Isokatu - just think of the warm welcome you'll receive and delicious food! I'm happy...now I have two favourite Indian restaurants in town!
