I'm a picky falafel eater. Staff let me try one before I ordered. My trial was great so I had the Falafel Spezial, a sandwich in flat bread stuffed with several falafels, homus and salad inside. A full meal in itself for only 2.80 EUR. My friend had the Kibbeh Spezial what was a sandwich stuffed with the Lebanese Kibbeh, a form of croquettes stuffed with a lamb mince, walnuts and spices. My friend declared the sandwich his favorite at the restaurant. Our wives had a chicken shwarma meat platter with homus and tabouleh. Our friend did say the tabouleh was better when she had eaten at the restaurant before. As a restaurant, Sahara used to be a walk up, take-away kiosk, hence 'Imbiss' (snack). They have been a restaurant for only 2 months. You may eat outside or inside. Shop was full at lunch time, implying good food. We found this true. Fresh ingredients create the great tasting homus, falafel, and kibbeh. No need for reservations. Wait staff of Syrians and Lebanese did a great job in both German, Arabic, and English.

Tried this place because of all the positive reviews and I must say that they were spot on. First off, after reading some reviews, I thought that this was going to be a medeteran fusion type of place, but I was wrong. It was a Turkish restaurant in a Turkish district with the name "Harput" on every corner. There's Harput and Harput Burger and Harput Fish, etc. Just make sure you are going to the right Harput. Anyway, I digress. So the food was pretty good and this place had constant traffic from both locals and foreigners alike so it's got a good reputation. We were satisfied with our meals and even took home some leftovers. My wife had one of the boats, I had the mixed grill and my son had lamb chops. All were pleased and enjoyed the atmosphere. So just a word of the wise, the menus are not in English and the waiters speak very little English, but they do have numbered pictures. I picked #50 and was quite happy. Also, due to the heat wave, you will be sweating the entire time because like most restaurants in Germany, there's no A/C. Very little outdoor seating is available if you are lucky. If not, when in Rome right?

First, the waffles were great. Mine had cherries, our son had honey. They serve Afghan food! This was my First experience with this ethnic food. I had a potato with meet. It was some variation of BBQ. Really good. They make a lemonade with some ground up black seeds. The waiters spoke very good American style English. This was a good experience.

My husband and I enjoyed a very pleasant meal on the terrace at Karim's. We chose this restaurant because it was close to the hotel where we were staying and the menu looked inviting. Service was kind and professional and the food was fresh and delicious. My husband had a lamb tajine that he raved about. I went with the Mazza Arabica, which was a sampling of several different vegetarian treats, including tabouleh, hummus, and falafel, as well as grilled and fresh vegetables. I was very satisfied. We're moving to Wiesbaden, to I have a feeling we'll be back to enjoy more at Karim's!

Stayed at the hotel next door (owned by the same people). Always fascinated by middle eastern food but don't know much about it. We took the waiter's advice on wine and food. We advised him of our small appetites and he came up with a perfect choice (although still too much). He offered to make up a bag to take away but we were travelling to France and it wasn't practical for us to take away. The wine from the Lebanon was stunning and the food.....superb. Lovely ambiance in the restaurant and impeccable service. A great experience.

This restaurant is unassuming but the dishes are all wonderfully prepared and beautifully presented. Everything on the menu is worth tasting, and don't forget to order the Chateau Kefraya Wine made in Lebanon by those keeping the home fires burning. I have yet to visit when I have not received at least one free item, either another dish for tasting, or a dram of Raki, or a bonus of one of our favorite items. We usally go there when family are in town, and we've been at least three times this summer.Perhaps next time we'll go alone and just bring all the food home for a second meal. When you go, take yourappetite ad there is always more than you can eat and it's too good to throw away, Order plenty and take it home. Don't forget the wine by the same name!
