Weâve eaten at lots of middle eastern restaurants, but this menu has some good stuff we havenât seen before. We got the vegetarian mezza platter, and we really liked the mouhamara and batata hara, neither of which we had tried before. The falafel was really good, not in any spectacular way, just nicely spiced and fried, ineffably sublime. And heart shaped?Hummus, baba ganoush, and tabouli were up to our standards. The labneh was better than the tzatziki we are used to getting, with a cheesier flavor. The pita was undercooked, which seems to be an issue many places. The mint tea wasnât very minty. I guess itâs harder to get good mint in St. Louis than Dallas?I though the decor was perfect, with lots of authentic looking furniture and decoration and teapots and water glasses and pitcher. And what seemed to me like a middle eastern version of shabby gentility. And the charcoal grill and pita carousel right there by the cash register.

My brother-in-law recommended Olympia (weâre visiting from CA) because he likes to support locally owned businesses and they have great food. We started with dolmades to share.... really well made and tasty. So delicious.I enjoyed souvlaki as an entree. The others chose gyros and kebabs. All were delicious and well-prepared, their tzatsiki (sp?) was the best Iâve ever had. For dessert we were thrilled with their baklava and rice pudding. Really wonderful flavors.They have two big parking lots across the street so all parking is easy.Inside and outside seating is available.We sat outside and it was the most delightful evening.Service was good, friendly, and attentive.Enjoy!

Everyone that visits the Delmar Loop should visit Al-Tarboush, no questions asked. I probably eat at A.T. 3-5 times per week and the food is ALWAYS the same; fresh and delicious. My daughter absolutely loves the the spicy hummus. You really cannot go wrong with anything that you order. The shish-taouk is wonderful and the falafals are on point. If you also are into hookahs, they have a nice selection of flavors. Outdoor seating is available and the prices are right! Give them a try. You will leave full and happy craving more!
