We arrived at the restaurant to meet a family friend for lunch. The food we ordered an appetizer, salad and a combination meat course from the dinner menu. The food was very tasty, tender and very filling. The service we received was outstanding. They made sure our water glass was always full.

Located in Old Town Orange on Chapman Avenue just west of Glassell Street, Byblos Café is a family-run eatery that features Mediterranean cuisine in a comfortable and casual environment. The restaurant has a large opening in front that provides a lot of light that enhances the ambience. They recently underwent a significant refurbishment, and the added industrial design elements (such as concrete counters and exposed beams) are a nice touch. My wife and I recently met our daughter and son-in-law here for a late lunch. As we perused the menu we enjoyed their delicious pita bread and hummus. Each of my family members ordered the chicken kebab plate while I opted for the beef shawarma plate. Our meals were well-presented, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the side dishes were very good. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were in line with the Old Town Orange area.All-in-all, we had a very enjoyable lunch at Byblos Café and I see no reason why we wouldnât return in the future.

This is a great neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant. It's small, well priced, and the food is consistently good. My favorite dishes are the fried cauliflower and the falafel mezzanine style. Half orders are large. Only the baba gahnoush disappointed...it's tasty but different than I'm used to. Since it's a family restaurant the service is swift and personal. One of my local favorites.
