Reviews on Middle Eastern food in Mombasa, Coast Province, Kenya. Mombasa, with a population of 900,000, is no sleepy seaside village. Its beachfront hotels appeal to travelers in search of sun, sand and surf, while its Arab, Indian and colonial European heritage makes for a wide variety of sights to see. Can't find a taxi? Travel by tuk-tuk, a three-wheeled auto rickshaw.

So this was our restaurant for breakfast and dinner during our stay at Sarova Whitesands. It can get every busy at times especially when whole sections are blocked off for corporate bookings for hours on end.Overall the buffet food was Ok. The swahili breakfast being the stand out items for us. The Swahili lunch by the beach was also very good.

This is a very nice place to eat with a very attentive staff. The prices are very reasonable for the food. The deserts are a little expensive. The food is very tasty and the milkshakes are great. Nice location with outdoor seating with a waterside view.
Where to eat Cafe food in Mombasa: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Hasmy's barbeque is one of the best i've tasted. They have the full range from chicken tikka to kebabs and mishkaki. Their prices are very reasonable too. I've been there twice with my wife and we both immensely enjoyed their chicken tikka and masala chips. All their dishes are served with salad/kachumbari. Their service is also quite fast, definitely a plus point for the restaurant.
