If you want to eat traditional Lebanese food at a fair price, this is the place. Their shawarmas are probably the best in town. For vegetarians, the falafel shawarma is a true delight. For others, as well! I know a bunch of carnivores in Kinshasa who would kill for a falafel shawarma from this restaurant! I am barely exaggerating... From outside it looks shabby and from inside old-fashioned, but don't let that turn you down. When you will see that your food comes almost immediately (please compare with other restaurants in Kinshasa), that everything or almost is surprisingly good and, last but not least, that the bill won't give you a heart attack, you will make it one of your favorite restaurants.

The restaurant is beautiful, in front of a swimming-pool. For the food, I am really sorry but something went wrong. I ordered humus, falafel, Lebanese bread and taboulé. My friend ordered chicken legs. When we received our dishes, we found out that there wasn't any couscous in the taboulé. We called a waitress but she couldn't understand what we meant. I am a native French speaker and my friend is fluent in Lingala. We called the manager. He came and we told him that we had never seen or heard of a taboulé like that. He nodded and said he would ask the cook to make another one. He left with the false taboulé. We started to eat the chicken legs, with humus and bread. We weren't pleased because the chicken was too greasy and the humus too oily. About twenty minutes later, another waitress came to our table with the very same taboulé that had been brought away. "Is this a joke?" I asked. - No, it wasn't a joke. They had brought back the false taboulé! I tried to eat a little bit, but it felt like eating grass... Well, and a few hours later, I got a stomachache and I had to throw up. A very unfortunate story... Something went wrong.

If you're looking for fast food and/or ice cream, this place is good. You can get regular shawarma (with mayonnaise), or Lebanese style (with garlic sauce and dill pickles. As for "shawarma à la libanaise." We went in for a snack this morning and they have some nice ice cream flavors. My son asked for a milkshake, and the waitress didn't know what it was. I explained a drink made of ice cream and milk... which she thought was a cappuccino. We passed on the ice cream and got some nice croissants instead. They also have Lebanese style treats/desserts.
