Reviews on Middle Eastern food in Cambridge, England, United Kingdom. Cambridge might be best known for its university, home to some of the world’s greatest minds (Milton, Darwin, Hawking, etc.). But there’s a vibrant theater and arts scene here as well, and you’ll find fantastic contemporary restaurants mixed in with traditional pubs. Climb the tower of Great St. Mary’s Church for sweeping views of the city.

The restaurant is set in an authentic, handmade camel wool tent from the Algerian Sahara. The intricate lighting creates the perfect ambience for any occasion. Heart-warming tagines, fresh fish, homemade desserts, Moroccan mint tea. Freshly squeezed juice
I am veggie and the menu for vegetarians is very limited(only 2 dishes).I went for the veggie tagine and it was the worst tagine I have ever had. It comprised of 8 pieces of carrots, 2 pieces of courgette and one potato in a sauce(about 3 tablespoons!). The overall taste was bland. However, I understand from a friend that the meat dishes are quite tasty.I appreciated the ambience and the service though.Dear Salima,We generally appreciate feedback when it makes sense. It helps us to improve and avoid inadequate comments like yours. We actually have 5 vegetarian main courses 3 of which that are vegan we are regularly praised on our offerings. We also have at least 9 vegetarian starters that you could have tempted you. Iâm dubious to whether you studied the menu properly. With regards to your vegetable tagine perhaps our dim lighting didnât help you differentiate between carrots, butternut squash and sweet potato that are all present in the tagine you ordered as well as celery, courgette and chickpeas. I have personally investigated your scenario and have been informed that check backs were made with no negative issues. If there is a problem with food then I advise you to alert staff immediately in order to rectify them on the spot as your comments are now useless and misplaced.

Held a pre-conference dinner here and was suitably impressed. The multi course presentation offered a grand selection of dishes and a cosy environment. My favourite was most definitely the lambs liver kebabs which were out of this world - tender and delicate nicely flavoured. Having said that, I enjoyed every single dish I was served. Ambiance was good, albeit the restaurant gets very hot with the open grill in the restaurant itself. Excellent evening with excellent food - thanks for your attentive expertise.

Meditteranean BBQ opened in 2013 under the name 'Merhaba' and has since become a much loved Turkish restaurant amongst Cambridge locals, even going on to be highly reccomended by the British Kebab Awards in 2018. Our delicious selection of traditional Tur
Having just returned from holiday in Turkey we wanted more Turkish food, and this did not disappoint. The cold maze selection was excellent - lots of choice and all lovely. The chicken shashlik and lamb kofte were also excellent. The service was very functional though - just took the order and brought the food. After experiencing the friendliness of restaurants in Turkey this was something of a disappointment. However, we will be back - tasty food and good value
