We were advised to try this restaurant by more than one Egyptians from Alexandria on different occasions. It was somewhat crowded, but the serves is fast, the food was great and quantity is sufficient and staff are friendly. We did not try the seafood (maybe later), but the staffed pigeons were great.

You pick your fish/seafood downstairs- we had mullet, shrimp (large prawns, actually) and calamari. While we waited for it to be cooked we had salad, baba ganoush, tahini, pita, and other veggie dishes. (We were a large groups so think we got more variety than usual) All of the fish was fabulous and cooked to perfection.Be aware, tourists, that they do not serve alcohol, and there are steep steps to the seating area upstairs. The discomforts were balanced by the authentic feel of the place.

this is a chain of restaurants for fast food serving authentic Egyptian specialties, specially fool and falafel sandwiches with their hot freshly baked pitta bread they bake in the restaurant, as I've said there are so many branches all over Alexandria but I find my favorite the branch in Elmanshia within the banks area

We drove all the way from Cairo simply because Hosny branch in Cairo is certainly much below standards, unless you know the Captains or pass the word to Chef in advance- I saw this with my own eyes-. So, going back to Alex branch, the Captin will offer a good variety, options and assortment to avoid double portions and types as some plates share the same items.Main course arrived on stages and not together which was annoying, and it was cleared that while some was hot and fresh, other items were microwave heated.Staff will do the job if they feel that youâre a good tipper, otherwise you have to wait for that toasted bread. So it becomes a question of quality.Cleanliness is OK but certainly could have some improvement, drinks are in many cases inconsistent in taste and freshness. Prices are a bit higher than what Hosny serves in comparison with local markets and restaurants.Overall, itâs ok but I would NOT make it first option.

I made a big outside catering event for my daughterâs birthday with Balady Gourmet, the food was outstanding in every aspect, the salads, main course, soup and especially mix grills and hawawshi were very tasty and all guests were really impressed. Visited the restaurant many times also very good service and perfect oriental food. Thank you for your review , pls visit us again

For several years my dear husband and I have celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at one of the Four Seasons restaurants, usually Byblos, as we did last month. Food is always very good, preparation, presentation, and timing of the courses.The wait staff are appropriately attentive and very pleasant, Mohamed Tarek and Ahad served us well. It's a wonderful elegant dining experience overlooking the corniche and Four Seasons private beach. It is somewhat pricey, even in US Dollars, so we do not visit frequently. When we do enjoy a meal there, we spend at least a couple of hours, enjoying appetizers, soups, fresh breads, salad, our main entrees, and dessert. We cannot pass up the bird's nest dessert! We highly recommend Byblos.

Fish Market was amazing. They start by brining you potatoes, pickles, salad, hummus, sesame paste and garlic paste. All of them were fresh and tasty. As entrees we had fish fillet with calamari and rice. Excellent price for fresh seafood! Great views of the Mediterranean as well.

This is one of the few authentic restaurants that serves local cuisine in a modern way. Not that fancy or opulent, still it suits what it offers. The place serves Middle Eastern platters of grilled beef/ lamb/ chicken, tajins, plus rice and pasta plates. The quality and taste of food is superb. You can always ask for certain kinds of salads and appetisers that are served per individual. On the other hand, they serve seafood and fish at the upper floor. There are various kinds of fishes and seafood to pick from; either grilled or fried. This restaurant is a must-go for all locals and visitors.
