Service was great. Manager asked if there was anything he could do to make our dining experience more enjoyable. Food was quick and tasty. We had shrimp and chicken fajitas.

Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I love their Chili Rellenos, but bring your appetite or ask for a box!

They are changing to Blue Apache for...reasons...but one of my favorite places to eat. At lunch, the pork empanaditas are a MUST! They do not make these at dinner, boooo, but it's ok, it just make them more special when I get to eat them. At dinner they make a seafood version that is just as perfect. Never had a bad meal here and have eaten dozens of times. That is consistency.Kelly, we're so happy to hear that you've been consistently pleased with your meals here. We can't tell you how much we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this review. Be sure to visit us again soon! All the best, Blue Agave Mexican Restaurant

Perhaps we simply chose the wrong dishes. My wife had a 1/2 order of nachos, and I had a fajita chicken salad. The nachos were just a very few round chips (they looked like the round Tostitos chips) with toppings. The portion size didn't compare to other restaurants we frequent. My salad was good, except for the main ingredient.. the chicken. It was so dry and tough that I could barely cut it with my fork. The server was nice, but came to the table so seldom that I frequently ran out of drink. NO ONE asked if we were pleased with the quality of the food. The chips and salsa were fresh, but I didn't care for the salsa that was heated prior to bringing it out. As to the restaurant itself... it looked only fairly clean. Our table left my napkin showing a discoloration after I wiped the sticky table with it before we ate. I truly hate leaving a bad review, and perhaps we simply caught them on a bad night, but we just were not happy with the atmosphere or the food.

We visited this restaurant today and found it to be OK. The restaurant was clean and service good. Food quality was average. We had a fajita salad with shrimp and a chili relleno and chicken enchilada. Both were Okay, good portion size. I also had a margarita which was average. Overall, I can say it was good. Doubt I will go be back only because I think other Mexican restaurants may be a step better.

With the largest patio, addictive margaritas, lively atmosphere and irresistible food - Agave Cantina is one of Lafayette's hot spots.
The neighborhood Mexican restaurant was very busy but we were seated very quickly but just a little too close to the live entertainment. There was no other choice for seating but if you really wanted to have a conversation, you should look elsewhere. The food was good but the service was a little slow. The seafood rolls appetizer were very good but the bessitos (shrimp wrapped in bacon) were too dry. The fish taco were good and well presented. The fajitas were cooked very well but the server never came back with the flour torillas. Overall an average place not to be visited on a busy Friday or weekend.

Love the laid back atmospher of this restaurant. The service is really good, the food is delicious and best of all the prices are affordable. They serve a dish of cornbread with whole corn in it that tastes like a dessert.
