Latin-American inspired street food, delicious and authentic flavors at a reasonable price.
Had some daddy-daughter time at lunch today. I got chorizo tacos and pork tamales. Both were excellent! Daughter had quesadilla and she commented that this was way better than many other she's had before. We took our food upstairs and ate in the greenhouse. It was a beautiful sunny day and despite being below freezing outside (yes, it's freezing in April â¹ï¸) it was very warm inside and a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy our lunch. Despite being a busy Saturday at the Downtown Market, I thought service was was quite speedy. At first it seemed like a long wait due to a long line, but we waited only 5 minutes in line and then another 5 minutes for our good. I've seen a lot of complaints about the slow service, but I personally think a 10 minute wait is quite reasonable.

We're a restaurant and Tequila/Mezcal bar located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our cuisine brings a modern touch to the classic pre-Hispanic food of Mexico.
The menu at MeXo offers clear and detailed descriptions, which is good because many of the items are unusual. The two of us shared the crab cakes (an appetizer), the esquites (a side), and the tamale stack ( a main dish)--and had plenty of food. The tamale stack was the star! what a combination of flavors and tastes! A sous chef stopped by and gave us some background on the ingredients that go into this creation. --The cocktails were excellent as well.Price I suppose is relative--we are from Ann Arbor where they tend to be higher--but the cost seemed very reasonable for the high quality of the food. A truly standout restaurant.

STOP BY OUR TEX-MEX RESTAURANT IN GRAND RAPIDS, MI DIG INTO DELICIOUS TEX-MEX FOOD You may have had decent burritos in your lifetime, but those are nothing compared to the top-notch burritos, tacos and quesadillas waiting for you at Beltline Bar. We offer
The Beltline Bar has been serving Mexican food for decades. A great place to introduce your family and friends to Mexican cuisine. Plenty of choices for even non-adventurous patrons. The classic wet burrito, a Margarita, guacamole, salsa and chips are my favorites. Order hotter sauces if you like spicy food. The Beltline Bar was recently mentioned in Diners, Drive-Inâs and Dives on TV as a unique place to visit. We agree that it deserves a visit.

This restaurant has turned into our go to for authentic Mexican food. It's always delicious and we love being able to pick out fresh ingredients for them to add to our dinner. The prices are good for the amount of food you get. They are friendly and they make sure you get great service!

I had lunch with a friend at Tacos El Caporal and enjoyed my meal. There's nothing fancy about the place...Food served on paper plates with plastic-ware. Service was fast and friendly. Food was good and very fast. Two orders of four tacos with rice, beans, chips, salsa, and pickled peppers and onions with a coke for $21. Table service. Plenty of free parking, right on north side of 28th Street.

First time here on recommendation of daughter. Friday night wasn't to busy, got seated right away. Waiter was attentive at first but as the night went on saw less and less of him. To many tables to wait on.Had a burrito loco. It's a large flour burrito wi 13th h steak, chicken and shrimp, with onions and peppers. Was very good but shrimp just didn't cut it. Would leave out next time. Wife got a shredded chicken dish that she liked. Chips and salsa was great. Took 10 min to get our bill after asking for it and another 10 min to come back to to complete payment. Disappointing finish to a great meal.

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made
For a mexican restaurant, the food was just average. There was only one waitress and she seemed a bit overwhelmed and rushed, but she was very nice. The food came out quick but mine and my sisters bowls were dirty and not prepared the way I had asked. My salad bowl had almost no lettuce, my sisters had almost no lettuce and overloaded with black beans. We had better chips and salsa at a pub the next day. If you want quality mexican, look elsewhere.

We visited this place last year and loved it, recommending it to others. We returned earlier this year and were greatly disappointed. For Grand Rapids, they have a minuscule beer list, but they can get away with that. But they have reduced their portions and the quality has also suffered. Sadly, the service has also gone downhill. I just hope this place gets it back together, or they may not be around long. Just get back to what you were, please.

A former 1920's neighborhood service station finds new life as a full service bar serving truly authentic Mexican food.
I hesitated choosing this place thinking it would not be authentic and typically like another chilis. I was WRONG, this place is great, Nice outdoor seating or standing hi top tables, great bar. To top it off they had a huge selection of Tequila brands to choose from. Tacos were very good and pricing was very inexpensive. They also serve a good Michalada which is basically a bloody mary with beer, spicy, tangy and very good. I will be back to visit the place soon

We called ahead and walked past 20+ waiting customers to one of our favorite restaurants. The usual Mexican freebie chips and salsa, which are always fresh and yummy, arrived immediately as did our waiter. I ordered the combination fajitas, my wife opted for the shrimp plate. And again, as usual, we got our food quickly and steaming hot. The fajitas were filled with skirt steak, chicken and shrimp. I requested a mix of mild peppers and habaneros and was rewarded with hot, but tolerable, mouthfuls of flavor. My wife's shrimp were crisp and tasty. This eatery is a must if you're in the area!
